Not only has Poatan a devastating hook, but his jab to the body, flying knee, that crazy calf kick. All of the striking techniques he possess is on the highest level. He also strikes me as an incredibly crafty individual who seems to just be talented at whatever he does lol

For those who don't know his strong hand is his right hand not his left hand See him at UFC PI, he beat Ngannou's punch record BY A LOT he uses the right because it's his strongest hand. Confirmed by himself and would not need confirmation If the right has already scored 192k in the punch measurement then he would also use the left to do even better but he didn't use it because the right is much stronger I believe that technically he prefers the left but his hardest punch is the right

His title wins and his resume cannot ever revial a GSP or Migjty Mouse or Jones simply because he came in late...but what his resume may do, a different style of greatness Is to showcase the most incredible resume done in a short amount of time due to being an older fighter. Congrats, dude. You're the first one that I see doing such a direct, sincere and lucid reading of the current situation around Jiri, for real. I honestly can't understand why people don't talk openly about how critical Jiri's fighting ability is today compared to that guy who initially achieved a solid concept. I don't see any other wrestler or striker release training videos as if they were taking a morning tai chi class. 3 days in complete darkness FOR WHAT? You are a UFC fighter or a Ghostbuster? Look at the camp of any striker or wrestler and make an honest comparison about how much expectation you can sustain in that. The guy is not very well guided, IMO Just saying, I find it unbelievable that people consider Alex's record poor considering only the numbers of fights! Man! What? 10/15 fights and double champion + well succeeded defenses? Well, what to say about others that have double or triple and don't construct even 1/3 of high level fights and belts?

I don't see what Alex will do to someohe with great striking who spars heavyweight boxing elites, like Fury etc, the kick boxers or mma fighters who did boxing, or are boxers at heart always great in MMA, Anderson Silva, Ngannou, Izzy, etc, Patan himself more of a boxer, boxing was why Sean Def Izzy the first fight, Tom Aspinal boxing and size, speed, athletism will overwhelm Poatan. Maybe Curtis blaydes, Rozenstruik, Almeida, etc, not sure he could beat Cyril Gane. But Jones and Aspinal are too much and too wise for Alex Pereira. Even Izzy could take all Alex's glory one day, Izzy seems to have gotten his number. Very interesting times in MMA

Pereira ko everyone with his left hook, while exploding Nganou punch power record with his right hand. So yeah, Alex Pereira have the hardest punching power of the entire ufc including HW fighters. At this point we all know this man is going to be the first ufc fighter to hold 3 divisions titles. He has exceptional technique, perfect skeletons/muscles/tendons frame, he can generate, from close range, more punching power than any other ufc fighter can from long distance. He has higher fight IQ than his competition, great distance management, superior mental focus, extensive top level kick boxing experience, supreme self confidence, real stoicism, inpeccable timing § precision in his counter striking, and an understanding of the fighting game way above other ufc fighters. He is not a superman, he is human, but he has "the total package" (outside grappling). Ankalaev will go down next, followed by whoever in HW, aspinal, jones, gane etc... Pereira is not my favourite fighter, I preffer technique of buakaw, petr yan, ignashov, ramon deckers, tyson, crocop, fedor etc... but you have to admit that his consistency at dropping everybody ko, and his run inside the ufc, is simply never seen so far in this sport. He is making history each time he steps in the cage. ko strickland in 2 ', hills in 3', jiri in 9' and then 5', beat adesanya 3 times out of 4... Destroys 5 champs in 8 fights, get 2 belts in 2 years,( possibly 3 belts).. that is unseen since the ufc exists. He's about to surpass jons, mightymouse, anderson, gsp, in front of our eyes.

Jiri Prochazka was traumatized by those low kicks - the final blow went to his face because Alex knew he was worried about getting kicked down the waist and probably was going to defend there. He actually tried to explore breaches in Alex game but the fact is that Alex was totally safeguarded. He was in control the whole first round and is always very dangerous to approach him on short distance:- you never know when that cursed left hook will come. Basically Jiri no longer had weapons to carry on that fight, his fate was sealed... and consider Alex Pereira had his toes injured when he applied that final blow from his feets!

It's sad to say but there are no solutions to his kicks so far. alex does wrestling a lot through glover and with other people don't forget that he gets better at it every day, it's true that his opponents have tried but without doing too much damage on the ground or while trying to take him down to fetch. He has a black belt, that's not a coincidence, Alex is getting better with every fight, you can see that. He was new at first and now feels completely at home. He is a very dangerous man. the more he continues to win, the stronger he becomes. If you don't take him to the ground in round one and hold him, you won't win. anyone who wants to strike with him is in very great danger. The most dangerous thing is that he has the power to switch off your lights at any time when he wants to, especially from a counter. people seriously have no idea how dangerous he is. I can see him continuing to win for at least another 2 years before someone outdoes him and his style becomes an exhibition. but if he stop at right time around 40max then he wont maybe take any lose after his 40 it wil be more dangerous for him because the age. beside that he dont got alot damage if he end his fights like he do now he can easy go on to 43 age whithout getting beat

Greatest kickboxer in MMA yes. With a couple more wins- maybe if he beats Tom Aspinal, Jon Jones he might even be in the conversation for the greatest combat sports athlete. But in kickboxing... hes up there, accomplishing a feat like being the first ever Glory 2 division champ simultaneously, but i dont think he's THE greatest. Theres names like Badr Hari, Giorgio Petrosyan, Peter Aerts, Artur Kyshenko, Nieky Holzken, Ramon Dekkers, Semmy Schilt that have a way better resumé. Maybe if he had stayed for one more fight in Glory and moved up to heavyweight to dethroned Rico Verhoeven (a fight which i don't think he would've won) then the argument would be stronger.

I knew Jiri was going to get KO from his last fight. He WAS losing the fight, until he got the finish. When I saw that fight, all I was thinking was, he CANNOT fight like this against Alex. Any one of those punches and kicks would put his lights out. And someone like Pirreah would never lose composure or would feel intimidated by Jiri

Izzy has always been better bro, lit Alex up so bad the ref literally had to dive in between them to save Alex. But hey that fight was in Brazil with a local ref. Alex wasn't even the betting favourite leading into 287 despite being "3-0" As much as Izzy owns Alex's soul I don't think he's ever beating him at 205

@@stacrafty i don't go as far as he owns alex , u cant own a guy while being 3/1 against him, but what am saying is izzy was the only competitive fighter agaisnt alex , and during the loss he really faught beautiful y ,the only guy who can beat alex is a another elite kickboxer in my opinion (like izzy) , for the 205 ofc theres no shot of izzy beating him and this fight will never happen cuz it shouldnt
@stacrafty
@stacrafty 15 сағат бұрын
well argument can be made. First fight pretty even 2nd fight - bizzare. Dominated badly for near 2 rounds on the verge of being TKO'd and then at a referees discretion rather that just stop the fight... give a standing 8 count? Brazilian ref in Brazil. what can you do. 3rd fight, same again. Izzy's better technical striking finds Alex chin first yet again, this time its the pure luck of the bell. Alex has his power though and unless hes KO'd thats always a threat. Alex sets a combat sports record pre UFC 287 - first fighter in history to be 3-0 over someone and yet the underdog still. and for good reason, UFC 287, Izzy finds Alex's chin first yet again. This time having to bait him in such that he actually finishes him this time... other two times Alex wasn't getting out on his own, he just got mega lucky. That standing 8 count is laughable. In all Izzy and Alex's combined glory fights, when they have been in that same situation, every other time the ref just lets the fight finish. So yeah more the mocking of you got your wins like that? vs how Izzy got his. He became 2 time glory champ off the charity off his hometown ref. So thats why I think Izzy owns his soul.
