Hi! My name is Alex Wild.
A chainsaw has appeared in my arsenal of tools! I learned to use it a little and immediately decided to dissolve the trees on the boards. Homemade boards are not such a complicated process. Rather, it takes a lot of time. After making enough boards, I went to my underground house. I want to make my dugout beautiful and functional. I sewed up one wall with boards and, in my opinion, it turned out perfectly. It becomes much more pleasant to be in the room. I started changing the new door, the old door had a lot of cracks, and winter is coming very soon and I don't want to freeze inside. By the way, this time I melted the stove so much that the temperature in my shelter rose to +50 degrees Celsius. A whole bathhouse! After having dinner with fried potatoes, I slept soundly with the feeling that I was able to achieve my goal and BUILT such a shelter MYSELF.
My dugout with new interior is beautiful.
P.s. I forgot to say before my channel was called "Life and survival in the wild"!

Hi! I decided to create a second channel "Sounds of Nature by ALEX", on which I will upload videos with sounds of nature. I love nature very much, and I like all natural sounds: birds singing, water murmuring, rain noise, wind noise. These sounds calm me down. If you have trouble sleeping or you just want to enjoy the sounds of nature, then visit my new channel. Today we will listen to the sounds of a hand stream. Looking ahead, I will say that it is here that I would like to build a small hunting hut. A magnificent quiet place where the water murmurs and you can retire with nature. Enjoy watching! kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6Xai2Wolrefaqs

Love watching your process. Your interior is much lighter than just the logs, which makes it a more pleasant experience. Humans don't like living in dark places, as a rule. Congrats on all you've done, so far.

I'm a bit random commenting here because I've watched/discovered your later videos first and so decided to track back to watch your journey. Just amazing! It is so clear to see your passionate about your shelter and bushcraft. Some brilliant ideas from making your shelter a dugout so it is disguised and I love how you have constructed it using some simple but effective methods, and then have gone on to decorate the interior. I love the camera trap to research what wildlife you may come up against, I gather you know or have researched the area before? I can imagine how excited you get, buying materials, planning, packing for every visit to your den. Such a beautifully simplistic means of escape, so good for the mental health.

This structure is simple but genius, everything makes sense! Congratulations, you have great ideas and very good working skills. It is also interesting and very relaxing to watch your videos. The peace and the nature is beautiful to listen and to watch. No senseless talk just a highly talented carpenter and construction worker using his skills to live to the fullest with beautiful mother nature.

My biggest issue with all bushcrafting/wild camping/outdoors vids - I'm always bloody starving after watching them! All these people, without fail end up cooking what look like simple, but oh so tasty meals before the video ends! This little cabin looks seriously cosy and rock solid - Excellent job!

I think the drawbacks of dugout living are how dark it is and how dirt seems to ne everywhere . It would be very easy to develop seasonal affective disorder related depression in a shelter like this. But, even with that, I think that this is very important knowledge and important skills that we all should know. Knowing how to shelter yourself can save your life.

Great overall job, and one of the best concealed, getaway spots, so far. I have been drawing plans for a few different styles of dugouts and for me , the interior size is very important. You want it large enough to do some work, but as small as prudent to help with heating and concealment ..I am thinking for 1 person , about 8 x10 and for two people 10 x 12. I am not a fan of the stove next to the only exit , but I somewhat understand why. I hope I get a chance to build one also. If not, I am enjoying the thought process and watching you and others build them. Thanks for sharing the adventure!
