@@duncanblue124 Not sure if you don't know about the GameXplain drama, but in case someone else is confused about the matter: Andre Segers, the boss of GameXplain, did not treat his employees well, overworked them and paid them little to 1-2$ per hour (a payment that made it more difficult to provide their respective families during covid) which led them all to leave GX (including Jon).

i haven't played it for many, many months but i'm very happy that it got me through my mental breakdowns at the start of lockdown. maybe one day i'll go back to it; it was a great comfort while it lasted ❤️

@@jumpyman9754 let's just say social isolation and being suddenly cut off from the things you love the most whilst already being mentally ill is not a good combination. i'm much better adjusted one year on (and vaccinated, hell yeah!) but 2020 was certainly not a pretty year for myself by any measure.

Perfect pandemic game, but I honestly expected much more from the updates in terms of really adding substantial content. Also, QoL absurdities like still not being able to craft or buy anything in bulk are absolutely baffling to me.

I played HARDCORE made a bunch of money and got a bit bored. I wish the gameplay had a little more depth past the aesthetic improvements you can make. Feels like a town simulator where basically nothing ever happens in the town.

I was still checking in every so often to do update-related things or catch creatures, but as of this month I've caught everything in the game, which is basically the point when I retire in every Animal Crossing game. If they release any more significant updates I'll check them out, but I find that unlikely since Nintendo probably realizes how much the popularity has waned.

I played it for like a month straight all day long and haven't touched it since then sadly. The game needs some serious quality of life updates, not to mention updates adding in new buildings and such that were in past games and should be here. For me though the biggest issue is quality of life. Connecting to other players islands shouldn't be so tedious. I shouldn't have to celebrate digging up every single clam like it's the most amazing thing to have ever happened.

Sadly stopped playing after the Halloween event because it just hasn't been fun anymore. Keep in mind the last time I actually played the game was in May then stopped returned for Halloween then never bothered playing the game again. Even my friends who are huge animal crossing fans stopped playing back in July and don't even bother with the game anymore. Sadly I wish this game offered more, but since I have to get to work right now I'll explain what I mean by offered more during my lunch underneath this comment.
