Fascism’s ideology came from Genitle’s Actualism. In actuality, it has vacillated between the left and right political cultural spectrum: prime example was Perón’s Argentina which within his own party, Justicialism, both were present.

I think the historical stages that Dugin's talking about might not be teleological or necessary of the Hegelian/Marxist kind, but rather concrete historical stages in which Russia tried out these other ideologies and found them to have failed. Rather a process of elimination than a process of development

I think it is fair to say that National Socialism, Italian Fascism and Dugin too are all extremely left-wing. The traditional family, the nation and tradition in general meant nothing for Hitler and for Mussolini very little (Mussolini spoke out against nationalism explicitly several times, and both Hitler and Mussolini were imperialists, which is incompatible with nationalism's respect for the rights of other nations to protect their borders). If Hitler and Mussolini had any right-wing doctrines at all, they were few and subordinate to their dominating left-wing doctrines, and this is the impression I have of Dugin as well.

"The fact is that Socialism, in the form in which it is now presented, appeals chiefly to unsatisfactory or even inhuman types.... And this type is drawn, to begin with, entirely from the middle class, and from a rootless town-bred section of the middle class at that. Still more unfortunately, it includes-so much so that to an outsider it even appears to be composed of-the kind of people I have been discussing; the foaming denouncers of the bourgeoisie, and the more-water-in-your-beer reformers of whom Shaw is the prototype, and the astute young social-literary climbers who are Communists now, *as they will be Fascists five years hence,* because it is all the go...." @@env0x not only Dugin and Putin share this vision; the majority of the Russian civilization does. Russians do not think in borders or territory, but in their community. And always in a historical perspective. They missed the build up of the matrix we are living in, and which is ending now. It’s saddening to see the unipolar world we are living is coming to and end. If you’re not with us, you are against is, is an exploitive imperial vision which is expired. I am sad about it, but can understand. The next century will be theirs..

Pre-2009 Dugin is described here. He totally has rejected fascism as racist in the 2009 4PT book. He believes all forms of Modernism are racist (as is shown by the many racist comments about Russians on this thread!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3TOqJJoZbdjars😢

He simply substitutes ethnicity for race. The rest of the fascist package he continues to endorse wholeheartedly, as he has since the 1990s. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJ-TeoKrndtraLc&t

He was dismissed from his professorship because he called for genocide of Ukrainian people as a whole. He is very much a racist. Dugin’s political theories are just a patchwork quilt of authoritarian and imperialist sentiments. It’s microwaved third position fascism. He offers nothing but paranoia and hatred for contemporary ideas.

absoutley not, but unfortunately the Prof here is not being honest about Dugin. For a better understanding try Michael Millerman or Dugin himself. He outirght rejects Fascism (Nazi included), Communism and Liberalism.

He has just repackaged it and gives it a red coat of paint. All of the bad aspects of fascism are baked into his political ideology. Totalitarian state Violence Pseudo-mystical reverence for blood and soil. He wants internet banned. Despite his more recent attempts at distancing himself from radical racial ideas and wokeness of sorts he is very much an ethno-nationalist who openly calls for genocide against Ukrainian people.

I’m grateful for your ability to stare into this abyss so that others might be spared from it. I’ve read enough of his claptrap to see a re-heated third position fascism that still has a deeply rooted racism that he tries to conceal. His open hatred of Ukrainian people and the very concept of Ukrainian existence is telling. He wants internet banned He wants totalitarian control by the state on every aspect of human life. His ideas are somewhat drawn from the more reactionary end of Traditionalism. It’s disappointing to see so many people on the far left and right taking him seriously and actually sitting with him in forums.
