Without being an augur, Alexander's talent was so great at his beginning and he appeared so serious that we could easily guess what his fortune would be. Bravissimo !

there is so much sound alive around and in this kid i really find it amazing, incredible and very very special and much much needed for starving musicians everywhere. I don't mean physically of course..

He already had that typical way, at 11, of pushing his head forward and twisting his jaw that I see him do nowadays, that makes him intriguing to watch at the keyboard. More importantly, he was already a true master at the keyboard and just gets better and better as he ages.

Thank you, Eve! This is so wonderful and I'll bet even Alexander will enjoy this! I love your A.M. videos...you put them together with great care and sensitivity for our favorite pianist. It's still hard to believe he could play this concerto so beautifully at that very young age. Thanks again, really enjoyed this!

This is Malofeevs real beginning. Astana comp.?? Is this what your saying. So he was about 11 or 12yo when he was introduced and won or did well enough to play the Grieg. It was nice to hear his thoughts in english. Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan! He's 20 yo now. I believe this was all coordinated by Denis Matsuev. Helps young talents in Russia today. He won Astana too. Just pointing this out. THE VIDEO shows . Thanks Eve Wong😇

While so many young men are out rioting, doing drugs, wasting precious life, look how hard this young man is working. Can there be any better example of hard work, or of trying to get the best out of life.

Beautiful. But you must rise to the challenge. Copose, like Mozart. Otherwise you are just interpreting the music of others.
