I was pleased to hear excerpts from German composers, Brahms, Schubert and Schumann. For a long time I've been concerned that his repertoire was, with exceptions (Chopin, Liszt, Saint-Saëns, Gershwin), confined to the Russian school. Nothing wrong with that, and his interpretations of Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Medtner, others, are superb, as these are closest to his heart. (What are the chances, do you think, that he will do a US tour in the near future?

@@paulstrickler5684 I’m also pleased to hear him play German music. His Mozart & Bach are amazing from his very young age. Alexander always follows his heart to play music. Currently he’s obsessed with Russian music,so we have to wait. 😉 He scheduled to USA last year, but due to the lockdown, all had been cancelled. 😔 As long as everything is back to normal, suppose he will re-schedule soon.

If you see this comment, please know I enjoy your input on all channels covering Alexander, thank you for your support of his genius.

But to be honest I don't expect I would be so much obsessed with a living star. I discorvered the great Alexander 4 months ago and immediately fall in love with his music. Every piece is stunning. I can't get enough of them and have to share these amazing to all. He has charisma to all.

Alexander is attracted to Medtner so much, though he knows his compositions are not as popular as others while abroad. He tries to play them whenever he can. Compare to the one he played at his age 15,now it's much more developed. More beautiful,poetic,delicate.. I’m pleased to see the development and look forward for more. After Dorensky,I’m a bit worried, but who knows how deep he will develop.
