I've discovered a NEW WAY to get out of bunkers EVERY SINGLE TIME!

This ball method will get you out of bunkers every single time! My student Clive used this just yesterday and it worked a TREAT! I have not seen anything like it before for bunker shots and I can't believe it works so well! This method will get you out of bunkers every single time for a fact, the best thing is it is SO simple and easy to do. Bunker shots are hard for us all, and they can ruin your round of golf! This is an easy solution that will get you out of bunkers every single time.
This tip is for both long bunker shots and short bunker shots. We need to make sure we have the right set up in the bunker, that are ball position is right in the bunker and that we pick the right club selection for a bunker. I haven't seen a tip on youtube that covers all of these tips, so this is it!

A few years ago I was taught to hit two inches behind the ball with a full swing and let your club slide underneath the ball without touching it. The sand pushes the ball out of the bunker. I’m not a great golfer but it works every single time I try it, without fail.

Problem with this instruction is that most municipal golfers don’t play out of good sand. Most of the time the sand traps are thin with sand and hard packed.

It does work in packed sand. You just have to swing harder. You can’t worry about thinning it. I use this method and never worry about bunkers. They’re literally the easiest shots for me to hit as long as they are fairly close to the green.

This tip is priceless. I use the idea of scooping a fried egg (same idea). It has helped me with soft and hard sand and has changed my game.

It does work, but you have to swing harder. The key is not to worry about digging out a big chunk of sand.

Yeah I practice in a hard pack clay. Steep close wall. Seems like the pack varies. My wedges bounce is grinding down. Lol maybe it'll help.i have a 58 may buy a 62-64? IDK.

what worked for me was taking the sand club OUT of my bag and use PW. Took some adjustment but now it works. 46 deg.

Exactly.. an old timer told me this too and it works pretty good and no more skulled shots... hard pan ...use your PW ..OR A WEDGE...gap wedge...works pretty good once you get the gist of it...

After many years, I started using a chipping or pitching type of swing. I square the club face to the hole, and use a pitching swing and I pick the ball off the sand. It takes a LOT of practice, but it’s been working for me for a long time now.

What's a pitching swing? The regular swing you use with the pitching iron?

@@swish1onu The same swing you use when chipping from off the green and such. Out of sand, it takes a LOT of practice and dedication to it. But after about 4 to 5 years, it’s working for me pretty good. For close greenside bunker shots, I use a 64° wedge. Give it a try Might work for ya. Think outside the box.

My course has several pretty much vertical faced pot bunkers. I often hit the very top of the face only to fall back down even closer to the face and leaving an even harder shot. Any tips? I need to be able to get an almost vertical ball flight.

I am not great at bunker shots but from what I've seen, use your most lofted club like a 60. Open it 45 degrees or more. This alone may not be vertical enough. If not, squat down to lower your hands closer to the sand. This should flatten the face to the sand and increase the loft. Give it a good thump. I'd start there and experiment.

bunkers I play in RARELY look this groomed. Most are almost hardpan and tamped down. Then its more like a chip on hard dirt.

I struggle with irons in deep rough more than 3 inches. Ive tried everything and can't seem to get it to go where I want it and sometimes I miss it altogether. Any ideas?

If the right club for the distance to the green is for example a 7 iron, take an 8-9 iron instead, and just put the ball at the back of your stance, towards your trail leg. This will give you the loft of a 7 iron but with a steeper attack angle = less grass between the club and the ball.

Well most of the golf that I play that there's no sand in the bunker okay so you can't do what you're doing you have to play on the course where there's a lot of sand in the bunker then you can do your thing with that but if it's hard pack bunker you can't you can't do you can't go under the bar cuz the ball go a mile away so you have to hit behind the ball and adjust your swing.

Yeah, l guess it's easy for you with perfect lie and soft sand. Very often at our club the sand it's like mud, most of the times is either plugged or in someone's footprint.

Cheers Alex but, you must admit you show it under more than perfect conditions, very often the ball lands deep in the sand as 1st option, 2nd sand is wet and heavy. A bit more difficult then.
