:) I personally think the reason Voevoda doesn't hide his thumb is that he is quite universal, I mean, he is good both at hook and toproll. Plus his wrist strength is beyond all limits. That guy is really unique, deadlift of 320 kg at age 17 is super great. But people with less experience and power might want to cover their thumb. Of course, if a) they're going to toproll and b) their fingers aren't way too short, as Voevoda said.

@TheArtofBoxing10110 жыл бұрын
As much as I love john brzenk and I still think hes the best of all time, but man this guy has AMAZING genetics and work ethics. I genuinely don't think he was ever on steroids or growth hormones, specially not synthol (obvious on that one lol). I mean he did a human fucking flag at 270 lbs. The reason I like him though is unlike travis begant (or rwhatever his name is), he's not a muhammad ali wanabe. He's a nice guy who is polite and helping actually + smart. Mad respect from the US to Alexey.

But Travis says, "And I'm pretty!" ;) I like them both, though. Travis has a nice video on grip strength you may have seen. He's a good explainer, and his left hand was best in the world for a time.

But, drugs makes you stronger, so it's good for arm wrestling.
@backpressure12311 жыл бұрын
You definitely should. You did nice job here and these vids are rare yet HUGE resources for all pullers especially new guys just hopping into armwrestling. I learned a lot of new things from alexey in this vid like to lift fingers slightly before the hit, his views on thumb capping (which is opposite to Devon's view), how he likes post toproll and doesn't like low hand toproll, etc. We get to compare different views of different elite pullers.
@megazoR9311 жыл бұрын
Thank you for such a comment :) If you think it takes some time to find this vid, do you have any idea of how I should rename it? As to the "Сергей Бадюк и Алексей Воевода" vid - ye, I've watched it, but you will be probably disappointed about it, Voevoda there actually explains the very basics of arm wrestle, which you most likely are well aware of. Howerer I'm going to rewatch it in order to find some interesting parts.

Why did he give up on armwrestling? He started a comeback it didn't work out well and he instantly gave up. He should try again

he spoke a lot about his love for sports stemming from his love for adrenaline. i suppose eventually armwrestling stopped giving him that adrenaline and so he moved on to bobsledding.

yeah lol alexey's so strong he can just choose the technique he wants to use without having to expose someone else's weaknesses cuz most of the time he's stronger at every area than the person he's pulling. Devon said he likes to cap his thumb cuz he likes to climb higher for better leverage and also cuz the fingers capping the thumb add to the rotational strength of the thumb as opposed to thumb rotating alone. He also said he doesn't like gripping low in a hook cuz he likes high hook.

If I search only "voevoda" it is great, the video in top 5, but if I search "voevoda training", "voevoda teaching", "voevoda 2013", "voevoda 2012"...there is no results for this vid...so need more tag...I think

Ok then...and the other part of the master class? Where voevoda wears red t-shirt?! Also looks very very interesting and no subtitle...:-( And I would like to suggest you to think "youtube-mode". The last video got 500.000 watch for more than a year. You're video is only 2 months...:-) Understand that many people find it later and later in the future. That is the beauty of youtube.
