it's worth pointing out that it takes a bit of setup to get it to a comfortable state but once it's there it doesn't feel that on edge

I found that since I'm not used to brake migration, setting it to the minimum setting and working up from there helps a lot in hard braking zones.

Modders have created: - Track face lifts to make it more accurate to 2024 spec - Reshade could make it more immersive - If not reshade then some PPFilters can also make it look more realistic - RARE can customize pit stops via tire wear and when DRS can be enabled - Custom HUDs from different modders or SIMHUB to even replicate F!24's - OvertakeGG(Formerly Racedepartment) have skins for most cars that people drive - And some modders even have Pit Stop strategy mods and Rolling Start mods with Classification starts (Hypercars go, 5 seconds later, LMP2 go, 5 seconds later, GT3s go) its pretty neat.

Having driven both the W13 and W12 on iRacing, I feel that though this car comes close, and even eclipses (more like annihilates) both the Mercs from iRacing in terms of driving and features respectively, the iRacing cars just feel more planted and natural to me. That's just my opinion though.

Agreed, if iRacing introduced some of the cool features of this car and made the ERS system work better for racing, it would be so much better

There are also provided setups with the VRC car, since the car is very sensitive to setup changes and track characteristics.

Sorry but iRacing is far behind when it comes to feeling where the car is and the FFB, this mod just shows us how they destroyed any other F1 rendition in Sim games.

I think there are track specific AI mods that he can install to make the AI smarter and/or more difficult. AC is one of those games where you have to tinker with for a bit to make it work great

EA use scripting where the game micromanages your input, that's how their AI lines up with your performance

You can probably turn down your force feedback to a more moderate setting. It shouldn't be that hard to steer.

So sim racing is finally getting the idea that they should try to emulate the best of Sim Aviation. Aircraft released from software Producers like PMDG put aircraft produced by most, to being mere toys. I’m talking manuals of several thousand pages. About the only thing not reproduced are the fuse panels in the cockpit. I’m given to understand that some recent aircraft even reproduce those, and a tripped breaker will affect the services on that breaker. A 28 page manual is a great start for the car,but a F1 each have hundreds of sensors on board, and has readings for each on a monitor somewhere. In an aircraft manual for an aircraft model, 28 pages wouldn’t even come close for the operation of the GPS and autopilot for a Cessna 208. All the power to this car model, but racing sims have a long way to go before getting even Close to flight sims.

The bumping is a bit unrealistic no? As a driver from the cockpit the bumping should be negated by ur eyes so would it not be more realistic t have the it not bump so much?

Yeah that's more of an Assetto Corsa issue than the mod itself, but there could be solutions available from Content Manager

In Assetto Corsa content manager, there's something called "NeckFX" which is a feature that simulates head turning. Content Manager has this turned off by default, which means your head is basically bolted to the chassis, hence why the driver doesn't turn its head. If you have this turned on the bumps will be negated to a certain degree.

AC physics engine is very very outdated. With only one point of contact simulted for the tires, it won't be able to be counted as most realistic. They have a lot of cool features and a great modding community, no doubt

this is some next level vodoo impressive indeed but when is taking real life to seriously in game this is insane i play to escape the real world not to live in a virtual real world with family, work and all the precious little time i have for myself i just dont have the time to go through crash corse just to setup and start a car so eventually start it only to find out my time is up back to reality but all that aside man i will support this modder for this outstanding mod bravo

I believe the curb riding issue comes from the fact that the car is based on the rb19 - rb20 cars.

I think the curb riding issue is simply one of not configuring the suspension properly I have this mod and there's so much stuff you can adjust especially with the suspension

​@@SeizureSalad I can vouch for this. I have the mod too, by default the suspension is pretty stiff. I usually soften them in most tracks. Certain exceptions are when I know the track has relatively flat curbs.

Most people would go oh no im a baby oscillations suck then you go watch and f1 drivers wheel and you go oh alright its fine lol. People have gotten way out of hand with oscilattions as if they beg for more details then when they get them they want to dial everything out. Its funny to me and if you notice it was really only shaking when under heavy load when cornering telling you its the forces and feedback doing it not just some silly oscillations lol Sur this may be a bit to much but still can dial it out enough to still enjoy with keeping all of the details. People will legit dial it so far back they ruin half of the details its crazy to me lol.

Your FF is way too high. If you think F1 drivers are struggling that much, you're high.

Yeah, it seemed like he was struggling just to complete a turn in many cases and it shouldn't be like that. Even regular people who don't train their arms or shoulders shouldn't struggle much with the steering. Though I realize with sim racing the wheel is one of the only places you can actually get feedback from the car, grip, brakes, etc., so some prefer to artificially simulate it through the FF to compensate. Or they just think the heavy FF is realistic when it's not.

F1 drivers don't seem to struggle because they simply train there arms shoulders and necks so much that you would realise it. Car has no power steering

you're right about the downforce, you can really feel all of it in w13, but in the formula alpha (even on high downforce aero) it mostly just feels like a very grippy car (in my unprofessional opinion of course lol) also, have you tried the 2024 F4 from RSS? its much simpler, but still fantastic

Isnt your FOV too low ? Like 25 ? Try 35 -you will get much better feel for distance. IK propper way to do it is the FOV calc but that value just dont work for me.

Again, unless you solely focuses on online play, sadly there's hardly any "game" in AC. Lack of a fun and proper career mode, and the Ai are atrocious.

Tbh LFM could change that. Considering the mod doesn't cost much, and now a brand new F4 mod from RSS is available, online play featuring F1 and F4 cars should be a bit easier this time around. It's up to LFM at this point to fully implement it.

If you've driven a road car fast through corners you'd get a very basic understanding of mechanical grip which simulators like AC seem to emulate much better than arcade games. An F1 car is still a car, just a very fast one with downforce.
