This is one of the most brilliant sessions EVER As an achiever myself I resonate completely with you Lauren and to all the most deeply profound astute razor edge brilliant understanding you communicate about the perfectionist achiever pattern Alex! I’m pretty much gobsmacked at the brilliance And then about the parenting - how true is it about children sensing any inkling of lack of presence - I have a 10months old nephew I am getting to practice on these days - and yes for sure, there is no faking presence and attention; they sense you exactly where you are and in that sense are great oresence teachers! Lauren you look amazing your expressions have changed your relationship to life and to yourself have changed it’s all very visible in your body language - well done for an amazing recovery job and for sharing such a deep personal process with all of us! Would love to meet you one day and share recovery journey stories... This session is just ACE! Thank you both SO MUCH! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Really touching self-reflection Lauren, great reminder to practice more self compassion and stop and ask why something is important to us! Excellent episode.

It’s amazing seeing how much more happy and grounded you look Lauren. And I totally understand that feeling of pain for the person I was, the need to put down that achiever pattern and how hard that is to do. Thanks for expressing it so eloquently. It is always so helpful hearing how others reflect on many of the same things. And Alex “connection feeds connection” is so true.... I’m finding that really learning to feel and appreciate that makes it so much harder to go back to my original patterns as that tug of disconnection becomes so obvious.

I have a Functional Neurological Disorder, Fibromyalgia, CfS plays a major part . I went out for a walk yesterday which took me a hour ! I will spend all of today just resting . It’s horrible . I feel I’ve faced all my demons with care and love , working on my mind is a work in progress, diet also . However I’m not improving

I wish someone had had this conversation with me before I had kids 😀 I walked into it as an achiever / perfectionist totally unprepared and with unrealistic expectations. Just wondering - will the Reset online course be running again soon? I’m really interested in doing it.

I love this interview, I can totally relate to many aspects. However, a comment about the editing, the intro music when showing snippets of the upcoming interview, is VERY anxiety-inducing. It makes feel frantic and is a trigger for me. Please OHC can you consider that the bright lights and music is sometimes crash-inducing. Although the actual content is great and you guys are awesome. 😍

I am in awe of you Lauren you have come through such a personal hell with such strength , beauty and resilience. I wish you all the best for your quest to become a Mum.. Just wanted to share kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGO6iKWrpbJ1d6c&feature=emb_titleTaylor Swifts - " Shake it Off" as she hears what you are saying. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJe6naKqa82SgK8&feature=emb_logo. Also wanted to share Jesse J - " Who You Are - Jesse says its okay not to be okay, and sometime we all put on a facade because we feel we have to be perfect for the world. Jess says its okay to spend time working things out with yourself. To be honest and real and needing help when going through difficult times is sometimes the most beautiful thing any human can do. This in Therapy Session with Lauren and Alex was so inspiring! Music helps my healing process, so I hope this is helpful to you Lauren as these sessions are helping me and I just wanted to give something back.
