This is, in my opinion, by far, the best perfomance of Alexi. Never seen another artist like him, go beyond any explanation, and believe me, I've tried.

when he talks about his father i tear up every time. reminds me of my dad who passed away. it always gives me this image of my dad not remembering or knowing who he was in some afterlife place.

Speaks deeply and resonates beyond belief with me from my journey in trying to reach out to my father for 10 years after finding out I had a half-brother I never knew about :( but with his song and words of wisdom it brings..."Light" :)

this song means so much to me. both from the memory it evokes and the lyrics that tie so perfectly into that memory. in a way thats what the song is about...remembering those closest to you and admiring their individual journeys on this place we call earth

16/03/2019: it's a strange thing to be this way---magnificent and quotidian-"dove, snake and swine" are the ingredients that stir all night in my bed, and wake me up in the morning to an unholy trinity. Mother, father and brother…it's the same thing over and over "At once I knew I was not magnificent…". It'll be spring soon.

16/09/2024: ^ that was in my first month in this place. I'm in my last one here. Over the weekend I started taking this place apart, and wept and laughed till the juice ran. Last month, at the Dean's breakfast, the speaker said all us would-be doctors are two things at once: ordinary and extraordinary. And that's what I meant earlier by magnificent and quotidian. Last night I caved and told a woman, a girl from the rearview mirror, that she was beautiful and that I was in the mood for love. In the meantime I'm on my way, per aspera ad astra. It'll be fall soon.

Wow, amazing! Why is soooo hard to find proper Alexi's videos on youtube? Guitar is some semi hollow body gibson, I'm sure you find this model on official website ;)
@alexanderc43556 жыл бұрын
Metody89 the answer lies on the fact that Alexi is not a main stream nor a mtv wannabe artist. This guy is the antichrist of the music industry and their stupid dramas and factory type produced music that everyone so much enjoys. There are some enjoy-full videos on KZbin but not on the same mass as you would find some of the common cancer like Ariana, Rhyana and all of those who have decided to sell their bodies, correction their music to the world. Good music such as good people and common sense, are indeed in decay. Bless Alexi for working hard against it. BR from Portugal
