This guy moved to Malta in 2023 and this is his experience, so far! Costa has been living in Malta for the past 4 months. He shared his experience with me, saying it took him 6-7 weeks to find an apartment in Malta, and he choose to live in Floriana. He has a lot to say about life in Malta, how happy he is with the choice, how easy is to find friends in Malta. Watch the video in full as it will give you more ideas about living in Malta

This is what happens when one open-minded person meets another open-minded person. Amazing work, Alex! Good luck to Costa on his journey in Malta or elsewhere further! It is important to mention that if you have family and kids you have to plan even more in terms of budget, documents, apartment, etc.

Dear Alex, I wanted to take a moment to express how much your videos mean to my grandmother, Antonia. Originally from Malta, she moved to Canada 70 years ago, and has always missed her homeland. Since discovering your channel, she's been watching your videos every day and they've brought her so much joy. Your vivid depiction of Maltese culture and scenery has been a balm to her nostalgia and an endless source of happiness. She eagerly looks forward to each new upload, and the joy you bring her is immeasurable. Your passion for Malta shines through in every video, and we can't thank you enough for unknowingly helping an elderly woman reconnect with the home she left behind. Thank you for your wonderful work, Alex. Best wishes and we look forward to your next videos! 💜

Costa and Alex are exemplary in great attitudes to have when choosing to live in another country. Good people with helpful, respectful openminds; accepting there are negatives everywhere, but instead of doing the place down, they embrace the positives. Importantly imo, they are warm & friendly & wanting to integrate with locals as well as those from other nationalities. Cheers to you both🍻Down the hatch!

Hello! I am a 67 year old single lady from Canada, who's mother was born to a british army officer in Malta in 1910. I would LOVE to see you interview older travellers who go to Malta solo, or with others. How do senior people visiting the island feel? I've been there 2 times in the past 10 years and absolutely LOVED it, felt safe on my own, and will go again in 2024. There's lots of older people travelling and I recommend Malta to them all the time.

HOW WONDERFUL TO WATCH TWO "POSITIVE" MINDS IN ACTION 😊. I find this video very inspiring, as afterall, "positivity is contagious"..I must say that I agree with both Costa's "likes" and "dislikes". However, I congratulate him for focusing more on the "likes" because afterall, "if you want a rainbow, you have to put up with the rain"🌈 ☔. I wish Costa all the best in his Malta endeavours and can assure him that Malta is happy (and lucky) to gain such a lovely articulate young man - WELCOME. THANKS ALEX & Costa 🎥👏. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

Alex - Thank you, Your videos provide me with down to earth information about living in Malta. I am a British/ South African investor with 7 property investments in Malta which I started about 6 years ago. The information you provide helps me to understand what my prospective tenants need to know about living in the various areas of Malta & helps me to select ideal locations for my investments. Incidentally- my latest investment is in Zurrieq - where I note you live…. Very different from my investment in Sliema/ Tigne. So thanks for your incredibly useful information. Cheers Dave😊

Hi Alex. I ❤your videos. They’re short and to the point. Here’s the reason expats complain about Malta. You know when we emigrate we take the culture as it was when we left and expect it to remain the same. There is a tremendous change. For instance when I visited last year I was very upset for a couple of weeks. I couldn’t recognize anything. I was a foreigner in my own country. The only difference was I could understand the language. Real estate is more expensive than in the US. When a nice spacious house used to cost 9K, it now costs 500K. Sliema used to be beautiful when the British were there. Now it’s a monstrosity. The population all of a sudden exploded. This has influenced the culture detrimentally. No one speaks proper Maltese. It seems it’s being translated instead of being spoken colloquially. Cars are everywhere. Despite all this I still ❤ Malta, its history, food and festas.

I'm probably one of those weirdos who appreciates both the modern and the ancient in Malta. The beauty of the island is that you can find cosmopolitan Sliema/St Julians, baroque Valletta, medieval Mdina, and numerous towns and villages with quaint village cores within a short distance. However, there seems to be a huge resistance towards anything modern in Malta. Given that our interviewee Costa lived in Cyprus, he should know that in this other Mediterranean island, you have Limassol which is basically a wannabe Tel Aviv nowadays (you'd be forgiven to miss its Turkish style old town the size of a 2 euro coin among its towering modern megaliths), and Paphos, which is essentially a Bugibba with archeological ruins scattered around it. Nobody complains about its modernization. (To its credit, they manage to keep Cyprus much cleaner than Malta, but there are many similarities in the built modern architecture). This is not to say there aren't hideous monstrosities around the island ... Many of these were built 30, 40, 50 years ago not in the last 10 years.
