Yea... I was once in that mindset but that was 3 years ago. Still researching for vehicles and now 20 minute videos aren't that much. 4 *Mikescarinfo* ~ 197k - is actually longer. He doesn't give specs like Alex does but he is very detailed on features, and exterior and interior appearances. If you are drooling over a car and want an in-depth look at a vehicle, Mike is your man. 5 *Alex on Autos* ~ 416k - is GREAT at specs and practicality and he is definitely at the top of my list. 4.5 Sofyan *Redline Reviews* ~ 860k - is great at being very opinionated and doesn't beat around the bush. Some would consider him to be too hard on certain vehicles from a vocal standpoint but it helps to know what you're getting and that's what he does. He helps you realize what cars are missing but also includes what they do well at. 3.5 *Driven Car Reviews with Tom Voelk* 150k & 3 *Steve Hammes New Car Reviews* 87k - are VERY similar to each other, both in video length and point of views on vehicles. 3.5 *Matt Maran Motoring* ~ 429k - often gives you a perspective from a family man. Frequently has his wife with him for additional input. He also includes depreciation stats from one of the websites out there. 3 *The Fast Lane Car* ~ 1.05M - A lot of people like them. They're not my favorite but I enjoy watching Roman from time to time. 2 * *Savagegeese* ~ 507k - I'll probably get some hash for the low rating but these two guys will get you up under the car and emphasize build quality, potential reliability and longevity which is exceptionally helpful. And like many others they will also get the car out on the road for drive experience. BUT *He can be very sarcastic (It's also dry sarcasm) so for me it's often hard to tell the difference so I can't always rely on what he says cause I never truly know if he's being direct or saying the opposite. I believe he adds that for humor but it's hard for me to follow. 3 *StraightPipes* ~ 1.3M - are pretty much just fun to watch. They are also Canadian and I only say that because they review Canadian models which do differ on some level when compared to U.S. models (especially in features) 3 *ThrottleHouse* ~ 1.5M - as you can guess are mostly about performance cars. I believe they are also from Canada 2.5 *Everyday Reviews* ~ 80k - Another Canadian more emphasized from a family perspective. 3.5 *TheTopher* ~ 302k - is ALL about the drive experience and I enjoy him to some degree. He also does sound system test included with his reviews. 3 *Raiti's Rides* ~ 613k - is a little too much for me. Joe does do a good job but he's not at the top of my list. 4 *Doug DeMuro* ~ 4.1M - for quirks and features, he's your man. It's worth noting that I can only take so much of him though. LoL 3 *CarConfections* ~ 245k - are also pretty good but both boys' voice annoys me. But I still watch them, especially if it's a car I'm interested in. 3 *MotorWeek* ~ 359k - I honestly only watch them for retro reviews. But they are pretty brief and to the point. 3 *The_Car_Mom* ~ 39k - is pretty much self explanatory 4.5 *Driving Sports TV* ~ 205k - often gets the vehicles off on rougher terrain to truly test them. So I normally check them out for more off-road vehicles or to see how they'll do if the vehicle isn't labeled as an off-roader. Some other up-and-comers with lower subs are 3.5 *Ben Wayne* ~ 36k 4 *Gold Pony* ~ 106k 4.5 *Prime autotainment* ~ 74k 3 *Drive on Reviews* ~ 10k A couple international mentions are 5 *Motorgraph World* 42k - Mari does a great job and I really enjoy her reviews and perspective 3.5 *Asian Petrolhead* ~ 169k - While He is a little harder to understand he still does a good job and covering a decent amount of info in his reviews Obviously the features on these international test drives will vary from the U.S. models All-in-all, regardless of how little or how much I like the aforementioned channels they are all worth checking out for your own evaluation And there are definitely more out there that I may not even be aware of or didn't even mention. I simply included my 1-5 ratings primarily to prove that the amount of subscribers doesn't necessarily mean you'll dislike the channel.

I've owned my 2019 Rogue S AWD for nearly a year now. It fits my driving style and needs for my family very well. I commute to and from work clocking at least 140miles daily. 98% all highway. It's very well rounded. I've taken it down to Georgia from Pennyslvania and it was a very comfortable ride during that road trip. It's reliable and a stable vehicle to drive. It's cargo mode exceeded my expectations. I was able to fit 2 adult mountain bikes that I purchased recently. I was also able to clock 31MPG. On average with new oil in the car I can get 27-30mpg commuting to my job. And around 24-27mpg heading home. Burning more gas since I live in the mountains. Overall I haven't fully tested it for snow since we had a largely uneventful winter season but I'm sure it'll have no problem navigating through slick and snowy roads. I've grown very attached to the car and see myself getting another Rogue later down the line.

I drove all of these and was dealing on a Rav-4 when a friend text me & suggest I go drive a VW Tiguan. I thought he was crazy and I said what the heck it can’t hurt. I fell in love as soon as we drove out of the parking lot. The seats, the solid feel, the smooth steering and ride, the gorgeous 8” glass infotainment screen, the small 3rd row it had, the large felt-lined map pockets in the doors, the panoramic sunroof & the Audi-like Digital Cockpit, and so much more. It was mine 2 hours later and I couldn’t be happier with the value and what I paid out the door plus the Volkswagen 7 year / 62k Peoples first Warranty. The dealer took $4,000 off and tinted my front driver & passenger winder and provided me with 3 Oil Changes at no charge. But even if I paid MSRP, I’d feel like I spent $10k more than I did. There are lots of little things I keep finding to love about my Tiguan that the salesman didn’t show me. Mine is Platinum Gray exterior with black leatherette. I look forward to driving it everyday. And I’m old enough to own lots of CD’s which have been at the top of my closet until I bought the Tiguan but I got them down because this VW has a CD player in the glovebox!!!! Score!! Lol

E Johnson lol so many haters. Me & my friends are on our 2nd or more Volkswagen. 3rd for me and none of them have had reliability issues. People love to say they break down but I’m guessing you have never owned one or you would know. The Tiguan is selling like gang busters since this 2018 redesign. Volkswagen is the largest auto company on the planet and you don’t get huge for building crap. If they were crap I would trade this in and stop buying them. None of you haters know anything. Just ugly opinions. I bet you drive Chevys! No thanks!

Jake Stone well I’ve had several and none of them have been junk. So you enjoy your Chrysler PT Cruiser or Pontiac Aztec. And ugly? Well I guess when you drive a Pontiac Aztec it’s hard to find anything else appealing. I guess a lot of people like the Tiguan because Volkswagen is selling well over 110,000 of them a year now. More than the previous generation. They are quite handsome but plenty of people have no taste or class. If you like the frumpy Rogue then nobody can help you. So good luck with that.

Hey Alex, I have a 2017 Rogue (we have spoken on messenger) and I know the 0-60 here is right at 8.5. You say that’s the same as the Forester, but in your 2019 Forester review you clocked it at 9.9 seconds, which while not a huge amount, is definitely slower. I am trying to confirm this as the Forester is one of the cars we are looking at when the lease is up and while I have never really had an issue with the Rogue as far as acceleration and such for what it is, I definitely do not want something that is even slower or more sluggish. Thanks, loved the video!

Just put 2000 miles on my brand new 2019 Rogue in four days. Here are some of my thoughts. *1-* The overall experience was better than anticipated. Normal conversation was very easy as the cabin is actually pretty quiet. Driver fatigue (12 hours straight) was minimal. *2-* Cruises at 85 mph like a champ. Secure, strong, and well behaved. Very confident feel when motoring fast. 3- Hills sometimes challenged the cruise control, needing to gear down, and when the RPS's are at 3,500 plus, the CVT whines a bit. 98% of the time this was no trouble. Another 50 horses would fix this, but at this price point I'm willing to live with it. I ran it with 91 octane at higher elevations and it had more power than a lessor octane. *3-* Radio on the SV is pretty decent. With Sirius/XM you can hear the music just fine - even thought Sirus/XM is not fine high fidelity music. My 32 gig stick was the better sound option with my 2,000 song collection. Phone system works like you want it to. Easy to use. *4-* I've had E Class and 7 Series - and they are fine for sure, but this little sucker was right up there, and was a pleasure to drive. I was surprised by what a nice machine this was for the price I paid.

@@ofcbob6391 - Thanks for asking. No other issues. With isolation - miles are down. There's a lot of chatter out there about the CVT transmission on Nissan's. You need to stay on top of replacing the transmission fluid around 35,000 miles. It can be done yourself (if you're a self oil changer.) Don't get one thinking it's a sports car, it's not, but I've gone in places a sport's car could never go. A friend just bought a Hybrid RAV 4 - but for $10,000 more - I don't see it being worth the money. To answer the question - I'm pleased and would purchase another.

We current have a 13 Altima S with the same engine/trans combo (but no AWD) as the Rogue; I like the CVT for fuel efficiency yet do not like the fake gearing (passing gear effect; sport mode has an odd feeling 4 speed auto). We drove an 18 Rogue SV. I could not find a comfortable driver position in the Rogue and it felt narrow; similar narrow issue with the RAV4, CR-V, Equinox and CX-5 (I'm used to driving pickup trucks and Class 8). Went "up" a size to a 19 Santa Fe SEL+ AWD; gave us the width we wanted (about 3 inches more of hip room), plenty of front and rear leg room with a little less cargo capacity (about 3.5 cubic feet) and the price was excellent. Still not sold on the longevity of the CVT; we have 110,000 miles on the Altima with trans service every 50,000 miles, three tranny software updates and still have some minor annoyances (slight slipping on take off, no smooth way to light foot the throttle in stop and go). Beyond that, the rest of the drive train has been flawless, as well as the rest of the car.

Alex I do have to correct you on one point. At 18:50 you say the Subaru gives 1 inch more ground clearance than the Rogue, that's only partially true. The FWD Rogue has 7.8 inches of GC compared to the 8.7 of the Forester, however the AWD Rogue has 8.4 inches of GC. They kinda bury that, and you have to dig into the spec sheet in the press kit to find it.

When will Nissan create the next gen of the Rogue? I love the size, but it's fallen behind all it's competitor's new models. The interior, engine output, and infotainment system all definitely need upgrading. Maybe Nissan can give even bigger discounts next year to try and attract buyers to this older model. With Rogue sales starting to significantly drop for 2019, a new model hopefully is in the works.

🤔 i think the CRV is still abit iffy surrounding their engine issues and fixes with the 1.5 turbo and the Forester safety features comes by that camera set up behind the windshield which isn't as consistent as the weather starts to deteriorate plus if the windshield is pitted or replaced the system may stop working and needs tobe calibrated.. so for someone living in areas where the roads are sanded in winter come summer 😬 it may be affected

None of these are the type of vehicle that would fit my lifestyle. If pressed? Would choose Toyota, Chevrolet and Honda in no particular order, too. Given your presentation which as usual ... good quality! BTW The Subaru version would tie in there. In Canada AWD, etc. Is very popular for the winter driving. Yet, I sort of find Subaru, whenever I am in the dealership; a little either too eager or not enough? The vehicles are always priced a little higher up here. I guess if I wanted one of them enough? Alex ... do you feels though some features you’ve stated that’s in the rav4 like the standard LED headlights for example just aren’t implemented just yet for the Rogue as standard for My19 , because the during that time time of the rav4 predecessor didn’t have standard LED headlights, but only implemented them on their high level trims? The rogue is about to have a redesign soon... maybe then they’ll implement those headlights as standard to rival with the rav4..

@MrRailroader03
@MrRailroader03 5 жыл бұрын
richard reynolds Id consider you very unlucky. We’ve had Nissans for years and never had any issues with their cvts. We’ve had a few small rattles but those we’re traced to extra hardware being dropped down into the body and easily remedied.
@rreynolds9056
@rreynolds9056 5 жыл бұрын
Chris Jacks, you’re probably right, if I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. That said however, the number of low mileage cvt failures in Nissan products suggests a systemic problem which has even had legal ramifications, (Batista v. North American inc, being a notable lawsuit where Nissan was accused of putting known defective transmissions into vehicles). The cvt reliability issue was also a major factor for Nissan extending their warranty to 150k miles. I’m glad your run has been better, and I wouldn’t even dissuade people from the car. Nissan fixed ours in 3 days and were very accommodating. I won’t be keeping mine after the warranty expires though.
@MrRailroader03
@MrRailroader03 5 жыл бұрын
richard reynolds this suggestion of a systemic problem was with the 1st and 2nd gen cvts. The 3rd generation has been extremely reliable. Anytime a company releases new technology into their entire lineup, bugs and design issues will arise and Nissan has been the punching bag for these failures for years now. And it still doesn’t explain why so many 1st and 2nd gen cvts have lasted well beyond 200k without failure. In fact, I’ve heard and read many horror stories about cvt failures but out of all the people I’ve met, known, dated and worked with, I’ve actually never seen, in person, a failed cvt. I know the issues exist. Meanwhile, Toyota has issued recalls for their cvts failing in the newer Corolla and everyone says ehh, it’ll be ok. Honda has known issues with their 9 speed transmission and its apparently its no big deal to people. IDK but our family won’t be switching gears anytime soon, we’ve been very pleased.

They are dirt cheap compared to the competition for the features they offer. Like the pro pilot assist. It works pretty well and I don't know of another small SUV that offers self driving for that cheap. Plus if worried about reliability can throw on a 80k or 90k extended warranty and still come out thousands cheaper than the competition. I know a lot of people that just lease them to get a super low payment then give them back after 3 years.

@@peepapeeps You must be a Nissan saleman. These vehicles aren't very good. Features dont make a difference if they won't last. Longevity and reliablilty is the issue. Someone shouldn't have to buy an extended warrenty because the car was manufactured poorly.

@@tribunation They are inexpensive compared to the competition. Should you have to buy an extended warranty on a new car? No, but that doesn't take away from the fact that if you do want that peace of mind you can purchase an extended bumper to bumper warranty up to 100k miles and still get out the dealership thousands less than the competition. I don't know how stating facts makes me a Nissan salesman in your opinion.
