I only have one question. Why do you have a refrigerator in your icehouse?

I had the same questions with the Garmin setup and that directional thing and how you keep it facing a certain direction and at a certain height.
@AlexTimmКүн бұрын
Let's just say it currently seems to be a pain if you have more than 12" of ice (aka cord out past it), maybe there are some tricks I'll learn, and likely not as big of a deal if in down mode, but I'm not initially impressed
@bsimmons00Күн бұрын
@@AlexTimm I had thought it came with a float too but I don't see it shown anywhere. Without ever handling one, my first thought would be to get a float/pool noodle, slit it to get it on the cable between the transducer and that pointer thing and then ziptie it so it doesn't come off. Then at least it could float in the hole and after some settling, the pointer thing might actually point in the same direction as the transducer.
@Saskatchewan1984Күн бұрын
I had thought the cord would be a problem in getting transducer pointing where you want , as under water cameras have always been that way unless you have a holder for the cord , almost need to make a holder for that , that goes across the hole that it could sit on , maybe would help keep it in right direction ,
@AlexTimm11 сағат бұрын
@bsimmons00 it does actually come with a float. However, that would make it worse as it would just spin. I would think

Air conditioning in a ice house seems not needed and extra weight. Lol unless you used it for summer camping too I guess

When I do a full walkthrough video on this trailer coming up in the next couple of weeks I will show and explain in detail, but the short version is the reason the floor towards the front of the trailer is raised a bit is because the water holding tanks are under there, that area is all inside the trailer in the heated area. So as long as I keep the propane or gas heat keeping the inside above freezing the tanks will be good to go. With how well insulated these houses are that is no issue at all, and when I have it at home I just plug into shore power and run the electric heater really low.

Was looking for ice fishing sonar long time. There was so many videos out there with only pros about it, but it seems moust of fhem havent seen anything great of are paid to make contenet. Got this Garmin ps22 bundle without battery. Now using older lead one till have new. What battery type and capacity You schould recommend for two day trip? Also tried out one day this gear and seems far from lvs34😢

Just curious what you do for a living? How can you afford something so luxurious for icefishing?
@AlexTimm12 сағат бұрын
Good question - I don't own this, I am borrowing this ice fishing house for the season to see how it works and potentially buying one down the road (in the next few years I will be buying one to call my own and just trying to figure out what I want to spend my money on, brand, style, etc.). One of the benefits of creating online content is companies that believe in their product are actually excited to let you borrow their products with the chance of getting free content out there and spreading the word. I get no money from Core Ice, they don't review any of my videos, and I can say anything positive or critical about their products or anything I want. A truly no strings attached offer, I get a shelter to use and check out, they get free content as they hope I use it a lot and put it in videos (I don't actually even have a requirement to make videos on it). Hope that helps answer the question on the ice shelter, on pretty much everything else in my videos though I buy myself just like an average consumer would. I will always make it clear if I was given anything. And I never accept money or products in exchange for videos from fishing gear or tech companies, as then they are 'ads' and not honest reviews.

Merry Christmas Alex hope you get some warm socks from Santa this year. Your feet and ankles could get cold hole hopping lol. Think I'm going to have to pick up a 10inch composite one this year and try that gear set up on it with my drill for 2025 Thanks for your time good stuff.

I bought this unit. Luckily I was able to return it. It was a nightmare. Old tech. Extremely blurry/fuzzy. Used 3 days straight. You can get the livescope UHD2 93sv with LVS32-IF from sheels for 200 less.
@AlexTimm17 сағат бұрын
100% the way I'm feeling right now, I have a few comparisons and tests and videos to do with it and trying to keep an open mind. We will see what my final thoughts are on it. The first impression is that the OG version with the pole was better than this pole-less design, but it is still not what I'd spend money on vs. the other options out there as of now
@everything-outdoors17 сағат бұрын
@@AlexTimmI think if it was priced at $1200 it would be okay. It worked fine for 15ft of water. Not having a pole was a huge downside. I spent more time trying to figuring out what way it was pointed and tons of time messing with settings every time I moved into shallower and deeper water.

Liked the other house better but this one would definitely help with getting the family out especially with a 2 year old
@AlexTimm16 сағат бұрын
@ZickJohn yeah, pros and cons to each for sure. I'm honestly excited to use this one this year, will be good to have a full season with both setups and be able to compare and do a review at the end of the season to hopefully help people that are stuck between which model might be best for their needs based on my experience at least

They are so expensive tho
@AlexTimm12 сағат бұрын
They have come down a lot in price the last ~3 years I've been watching them. But still considered a premium tier ice house / fish house / trailer for sure, which comes with that premium price tag.
