My father passed 12-06-96 when I was just 15yrs old. This song meant everything to me then as it does now. I'm so appreciative that I was raised on music like this. Otis Redding (Big O as my father called him), Al Green (Cool Al) and Marvin Gaye (Silky Marvin) were his all time favorites. I'll always cherish memories of him sipping his favorite cognac and blasting these tunes in his Cadillac. Me on the passenger and we just sitting in the yard listening to these legends over and over. I know how it feels..like its hard to go forth from here. My sister who was also mt best friend died tragically from cancer. Diagnosed with terminal cancer and six months to a year. We went through 2018 together and on xmas eve she died a peaceful death. I never even realized it was near until she took her last breath. It was very powerful in the room with four of us around her. It confirmed there are angels and something after called heaven. She rests in the Lords mansion with many rooms. He preparethed a room for her. I miss her face, her voice and her.

Sorry you list your Mom at such an early age, just remember you're not alone in this World, find solace in the Lord, find a church group, not the ones who Judge you, but the ones who embrace you. In the meantime, like me, I have been through so much, but I never lost my smile. I know the feeling. What you stated hit homes. Truly what brought me back to this. Lost my Mom 4 years ago. Then, I thought about the group. There's only one left. Feel like he should be given his flowers while he's here. They( BeeGees) wrote some of the best. My mom listened to them all the time. Not just Disco but Real RNB. From Al to Destiny Child. Still listening in home and car. Would love to see Soul Train and BET honor them instead of this " Twerking and Naked mess out here now.
