I've 3D printed arrow whistles, giving up all hope of accuracy (or distance, ha). They're silly fun and my kids loved them.

Oh my god, the first 3 seconds of this video unlocked a deep childhood memory of throwing a Koosh Vortex. Now I need these.

the lower pitch from behind compared to the higher pitch from the target is so cool, because of the sound is either going away or coming towards 😮

I have the 100-grain from Alibow. Fun! The students at school get a kick out of them during demonstrations of distance shooting. I think everyone who orders from Alibow should get a set. Cool video 😎🏹

When the sound fades away its fun. When it becomes louder and sudenly stop its not.

It sounds so cool Edit: tbh I like the sound as it comes towards the target when the camera is down there better.

I am so buying these for my next outdoor tournament. This is going to be great during qualifications and eliminations. I am pretty sure these are within World Archery rules...

In traditional Korean archery, the induction of new members to a jeong (club) varies from jeong to jeong, but at our jeong, having the sah doo (club president) shoot a couple of whistling arrows towards the targets is a part of that process. There are essentially three stages to the ceremony. The second stage is where the whistling arrows are used. It consists of all the new members taking turns shooting at one of the targets. This starts off with the sah doo shooting two or three whistling arrows, then shooting a regular arrow. The new members then take turns shooting. This is repeated for four arrows. The fifth arrow is shot as a volley by all members and the sah doo.

Gosh, I can only imagine the sound it would make if you put those tips on one of the noisier designed Flu-Flu arrows. A high pitched whistle on top of a loud whoosh as it takes off!

I use wiffle balls and electrical tape To create whistling arrows . Line up 12 or more archers Usually new to sport . Or a mix of experience levels All ages . And we loose a volley into the sky . No real target intended just into the field . The smiles are always worth it . Cheers

I have a question, relatively unrelated to the arrows themselves. I noticed you also use glasses, so I'm gonna assume your sight is also not 100%. Can you actually see the arrows, and where they've landed, even at that distance? Because I personally lose sight of where my arrows are at like 10 meters, and it's outstandingly annoying for someone who really wants to improve. You know, if my arrow was too low, I want to put it up, but I can't know whether or not it was too low, because I can literally not see it on the target. How do you deal with this?

When I'm competing with my target recurve, I use binoculars / spotting scope. That's when I care enough to make adjustments. When I'm shooting trad for fun, I can spot the arrow on target up to around 30m, maybe 50m depending on lighting. On a clear blue sky, I can trace the trajectory to see if it goes high or low compared to the expected flight. Our targets also have a soft replaceable centre boss, so I can also hear if it hits the middle (a soft hit 2:14) compared to hitting the harder foam (2:19). Individual arrows are impossible for me to see at 70m on a target face - maybe on a blanket target. I normally tell from arrow flight at that distance.
