I hope so too. I met Ali in college years ago after he was released from prison. He was older than al of us because he has been in prison and was trying to turn his life around. Very funny guy and very nice considering what he had been through. He was just starting out in comedy so I am so glad to see him still at it.

Lori Papong I was in there because I was getting in trouble alot. It wasnt a sentence for a crime. Just a program. My mom probably signed papers allowing it. It was just one of those boot camps for kids. We were just teenagers. I know prison riots are way worse cause they are using knives and doing assassin moves.

I agree with you very much. Because many violent prisoners are straight predatory and act like predators, and try to violate, extort and assault other inmates for whatever reason. The problem in prisons is mostly the violent inmates. So put the violent with the violent.

They are. I work for the state as a CO, we have five different custody levels based on your offense and behavior. G1-G3 tend to be stuff like drug charges or smuggling/extended good behavior with G4-G5 being the sex offenders and murderers with much more restricted housing. Adminstrative segregation is for the worst of the worst who can't be around even others of the same custody level. We feed all the custody levels separately and house them all separately.

Got locked down as a kid. My celly was an older Mexican dude that had literally crushed another mans testicles in his hand. He was a lifer, killed another cellmate and ended up with me. Old man taught me a lot about life and being a man in my 3 years locked down. Never went back to jail when I got out in 82.

Yeah, it's a state of mind thing. And also, when you're new in an unfamiliar environment, it's a common place to be in your head, kind of like scattered and don't understand much of anything. It's like being thrown into another country, with completely another culture and rules of society. It's kind of scary, to be honest. I think that's what they call "culture shock" too, more or less.
