For all the haters against this guy - the woman just had contradicted herself right the moment she said "no one has ever spoken to me like that! " that just shows the whole "I was abused" story was just that - a fake story she invented to play a victim. Also no woman in her right mind ever asks anyone - or suggests - marriage the first or the second date. That's a red flag. She'd probably the abusing party in this one...This guy is saying - in a joke , which I, surprisingly enough, as a woman, I find funny - this woman had given him some bad vibes "Omg , this woman is manipulative, this woman is so obsessed with perfect life, I need you to get away from me". This is the only way a guy would ever be able to tell his crazy story about a woman who was an abusive psychopath and not being laughed at...The irony of this is that everyone is laughing at the story because the show clearly tries to convey how dark stories can be turned into comedy.

It was actually funny but the two things going against him 1) the voice he gave her in the story I think took away from it , it would have been funnier if he just used his own and only used her escalation voice for the “you owe me a major apology” so it sounded like she flips some switch and 2) every woman there wanted to laugh with a lot of it and admit that there are crazy fucking people out there, and sometimes the crazy ass is a women and they shouldnt get a pass on being mocked just because of their shared sex but ironically THEY WERE TERRIFIED OF BEING JUDGED AND SHUNNED BY THE OTHER WOMAN FOR NOT PRIORITIZING HER SEX AS AN EXCUSE FOR HER EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE ACTIONS. "Abusive" in woman speak when speaking about an ex can mean anything from "I didn't like the way the relationship ended," to "He was actually catching me with MMA style blows everyday." It sucks because every girl you meet has been "abused;" every girl you meet has an ex who has "hurt her." Then you hear the actual stories of these men from her own mouth, and it turns out, a large portion of the time, SHE was the asshole, or was the asshole TOO. The really shit thing about this is when I meet a girl now and she hits me with the "abused" spiel right out the gate, I roll my eyes internally, and don't take her seriously because more than half of the times her "abuse" actually isn't, and that's a horrible reaction to have. I'll give you an example. A woman I met once told me her ex used to verbally abuse her, and that's why she's so sensitive to conversation. Ok, I accepted that. Come to find out the actual story? He was "verbally abusive" by not agreeing with her opinions a lot. I shit you not. From her own mouth. Something in society has convinced women that every unfavorable thing that happens to them in relationships, whether or not they are the direct cause of the thing that happened to them, is "abuse." People who have actually been abused, on some real shit, (and this isn't a hard rule) don't feel the need to yell that to the world like it's a badge of honor. They don't tote the story of their abuse around as a conversation piece used to validate their opinions to a higher standing.

@korsakoff765 жыл бұрын
@Aunty Agony I am sorry to hear that. But as BPD stands for, there is nothong much other can do for "personality." You should not feel guilty or consume yourself to help her. So my point was, early intervention, social support, whatever probably would not have changed or improved the girl in the story (and your friend). Some conditions, yes. Not this one. It's easy to cry for mental illness awareness but not easy to live with people with uncurable conditions. Especially in this case, it's personality....literally it's who they are.

How ignorant. You sound like you know nothing about BPD other than unreliable Google searches. As someone who studies mental health psychology, BPD only forms from abuse (with possible genetic factors) and people with BPD are far more likely to be stuck in abusive situations than abuse others. It sounds like you need not only a psychology course, but a basic human empathy course, as your concerns seem to lie towards the affect of a mentally ill person than an already abused person struggling with it.
@wickedrose5 жыл бұрын
Another testament to your ignorance - the brain always has a function to change behavior. DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) improves the lives and behavior of people with BPD. All people deserve help and support, and if you think “that’s just their personality” that says a lot of terrible things about YOUR personality - not that you can fix it, right?

I feel genuinely bad for this woman. It must be absolutely terrible to live with this level of distrust and ambivalent attachment. That said, there's no excuse for treating another person this way; she needs to get some help so she doesn't need to lash out. Also, it might be absolutely crazy to get the question, "Are you still seeing her" in the context of seeing the person again, but this is exactly what my college room mate was asked by police when she was date-raped. It is crazy, but it happens all the time.

Ha, at around 2:40 he describes it perfectly: 3 beers in her face starts to kinda change. I have met people like that. In fact, my mother is one of those people where they can take a certain amount of alcohol, but then it's like you flip a switch. A kind of bi-polar drunkeness: Either you're not - or you totally, 100% are. And from there on out you can only hope that that person is a happy drunk or you gonna have a bad time m'kay?

Granted, he is a comedian so I am sure he took SOME artistic license, but the FIRST girl I dated (4 years after) my wife passed made this girl seem like Terri Schiavo. She was a single mom, and after our third date, she called me 97 times between 02:00 and 03:45, to complain about me "peeking under her door," she KNEW that I was out of the country, as we had talked about it less than 24 hours prior.

lol; my worst second date ever i only saw the girl for 5 minutes before she went into the bathroom at the bar and stayed there in a k-hole for like 2 hours while me and her two friends (double date) hung out in the bar. then her friends left. then i waited like another 30 minutes. then she came out and spent another hour crying in my car. then she took a bus home. never saw her again (or tried to). 🤷♂️

I knew that I was going to marry my boyfriend (now husband, hurray!) when I broke down sobbing about having to go to work that day at a fast food restaurant, having worked there for several months and it was starting to wear me down. I was so distraught with my work life that I couldn't even function, and he helped me get through it. He patiently got me up out of bed, lead me to the bathroom, took off my clothes and helped me into the shower. He never made fun of me, never told me I was over reacting, just took care of me like I was a helpless child. And when I got home from work that day, he told me he was proud of me and that he was proud to be with me. Girls are crazy, and the men that can handle them are even crazier XD
