Still the hardest track ever on tape. Nobody ever touched this band. Would have been so good to see them live esp the unplugged show. :(

They were considered one of the Seattle "grunge" bands but their style was more metal than grunge.
@chriswilkinson7636 Жыл бұрын
If Grunge hadn't been a thing, Alice in Chains would have been considered Heavy metal. I mean they toured with Slayer , Megadeth and Anthrax in the early 90s. This song wouldn't sound out of place on a Metallica album.

This is alternative metal just because they’re from Seattle doesn’t mean they deserve to be called grunge.
@melektaus29063 ай бұрын
I think you can say grunge was a spectrum, on the more punk side was nirvana, the metal side was AIC (and soundgarden, though they had a kinda 70s rock thing going on too) and then Pearl Jam shouldn’t even be in the conversation, because Pearl Jam is lame Grunge refers to a regional aesthetic more than anything though, AIC sounded like they were from Seattle more than anything
@COS947-o2t3 ай бұрын
@@melektaus2906 Pearl Jam is like Led Zeppelin sounding of grunge and Soundgarden is the Black Sabbath of grunge maybe became of Chris Cornell sounds like Ozzy.
@melektaus29063 ай бұрын
@@COS947-o2t Led Zeppelin was actually really good though; Pearl Jam is pretty generic, they have a few good songs but overall are forgettable (and don’t deserve the accolades of the other big Seattle bands)
