Interesting🤔 I watched a video a while back with a Benchrest shooter and one of the things he talked about was turning necks for neck clearance. He said "thin to win" meaning more neck clearance. I cant wait to see the results after the necks were turned thinner!

Best of luck. I really hope changing the clearance will help. I think the 3 thou of neck clearance has more to do with avoiding high pressure than help with precision but it doesn't hurt to try.

I really like Brux barrels. They dont get the fame vs. Bartlien and krieger getting all the press. Ive got 5 or 6 Brux barrels on rifles and they are some of my most accurate. I do however like Krieger's fluting. Their flutes are clean. My buddy builds smokeless muzzleloaders and orders Brux barrels 40 at a time. They consistently shoot.

@@quarterminutemagnums Realistically, what kind of precision do you see with match 223 (Hornady 73 and 75 grain boat tail) ammo? My gun hold 0.6 moa out to 300 right now. bone stock tikka. Can I cut that to 0.3 moa with a custom barrel from you? I don't reload, so that is out of the question at this time.

@@eee2115 Dear Sir - Federal Gold Medal 69g SMK is capable of 1/4" groups out of a bolt gun with a great barrel - but it is still factory ammo, so there will be unexpected flyers. thanks.

I no gunsmith! My cryogenic barrel came with instructions for breaking in and approximately how many rounds down range it would take before it tightened up and the groups were ugly big till It got to that round count 225 once it did wow this gun shoots one hole groups at two hundred yards it makes me look good now I'm shooting a 308 not a Canon! anyway that was my experience with a cryogenic barrel and thank you for the knowledge I have received from your video. My late pops was an x-ray tech/thermal imager for Rockwell Int., and he spent decades inspecting raw un-machined materials for metallurgic uniformity, before ANY parts were machined. I wonder to what extent the bar stock is inspected?

Doin my homework for glass on this 6.5prc carbon waypoint s&b has always been my dream scope but after hearin the zco fans talk kid like to try them but the nx8 4x32 has the best power range I’m lookin for ands not too crazy high…funny I’ve got $114 Simmons on it buildin loads and gettin used to it and she’ll hold zero long as a gnat don’t fly into it…what would you go with for mix tween lw and high power for bad eyes….I hike alot in eastern Ky so tryin to stay light..
