I've always head cannoned that the God-Machine was Iteration X's quantum computer. That all of CoD is being run in a simulation on it. This is why all the supernatural factions though present, are different. Lack of knowledge changing things in the simulation.

Yah WOD Chronicles, Demon RPG is quite good, it makes the interactions between Angels and demons look like a cold war espionage spy vs. spy. and teh God Machine created them.

There are two world of darkness settings, one of which was retroactively renamed to Chronicles of darkness in order to reduce confusion. The god machine is related to Chronicles of darkness not classic world of darkness.

also the reason why the god machine is not present in the hedge since the hedge and the home of the True fae is another different dimension from earth altogether, a threat the God machine was built to protect from. Also werewolves. so if Luna is a god machine defense system so who was Father wolf. Since the Pure wants to destroy Luna, and tear down teh veil between dimensions the Pure are enemies of hte God Machine.

@@Spoeism Oh, yeah, but the fundamental odd ball difference in all of this is the AntiChrist is usually pinned towards Lucifer, however Ahriman is more like it. I don't like the computer jargon spliced into metaphysics so much. According to Steiner this is the split; Luciferian archetypes are of the fiery and airy elements, usually have a hubris of self superiority or haughtiness, and fixate on Overly creative or morally driven ethics. Weyland in Prometheus as an apex example, thinking one is like God for some reasons. Ahrimanic is basically a cocktail of the Weaver or Computer with the soul crushing conformity of oppression, or rigidity to the point of calcifying. Also concepts of being too "mineral". The charts contrasting these two can be excellent since it shows how a given fault could swing to either extreme. And like being bipolar it swings between the two. As establishments go you'll usually see Pharisees pinned under one and Sadducees the other. It's more Ahriman and Lucifer represent natural and human extremes. Politics can play into this. Being neutral is the only good between two radical extremes? I only trip over some of the over lap but I find it interesting to blend. Even the Abyss is kind of an even mix of the two camps which makes sense. However this would open up a lot for Fallen even, some being cold and Earthbound in more literal ways, and others - or other spirits on general being more Dynamic even without being of the Wyld. Passion versus cold methodical, calculations opposed to warped moral grand standing. Luciferic spirits should corrupt by playing on emotions and drives, Ahriman is more the spirit behind the Borg. More Reanimator turf, logically justified, some interesting descriptions by Steiner from a century ago fit into today's weird ways.

Big mistake: Demon the Descent is the gameline not Demon the Fallen. I know you correct World of Darkness as Chronicles of Darkness in the pinned comment, but if someone looks up Demon the Fallen they are going to get Judeo-Christian Angels as opposed to God-Machine Angels. Hope this helps and you can add it to the pinned comment. Though I know I'm very late to the party on this :(

They have True forms which are otherworldly and horrific, and disguises, false bodies or diminished form that have have an exotic beauty or ugliness to them.
