Ouroboros King Part 4 - in any other chess game, this would be completely unfair. But in Ouroboros King, everything is unfair so this fits right in. I'll need everything it takes to beat difficulty level 22. Enjoy!

@@9volt65 -- No way any form of stockfish is used here. Even at the highest AI difficulty the AI was making really weak moves. I guess it could be stockfish but forced to make junk moves occasionally, but that feels bad.

A general is any controlling unit on the board so counts anything including all king upgrades. Its phrasing is used in several chess games.

I've played Chesscraft and CEO (Chess Evolved Online). Having an uncapturable piece that can capture other pieces is beyond broken. Probably worth around 28 points, if it can even be evaluated that way. Also, if this game implemented the Fairy Stockfish chess engine, at max depth, you would lose. Be careful what you wish for.

If you're lucky enough, surround your king with them and nothing can checkmate you. Since Kings and Generals are the only pieces that can kill an Immortal, they can bypass your barrier, but since neither of you can move into check without losing, that isn't a good move so you can just sit back and relax while the enemy can't do anything (you need at least one other piece so you can attack).

with the difficulty thing at the end, its not like stockfish where it knows the best move at any possible time up to like 20 moves into the future. i think the dev just made an ai that thinks just a couple moves into the future since it isnt THAT smart tbh. at times it did make some actually really good plays, but obviously sometimes it blundered. hm, maybe thats why it isnt an engine and ai instead?

I have to say blade dancer + bottles is kinda broken, I hope they nerf that a bit, otherwise you spend 300-400 gold and insta win the boss fights.

Yeah neither of them should be able to capture the king imo, except maybe if blade dancer does it as its first move. That and/or limit blade dancer to two moves. Edit: also blade dancer's ability should be nullified under bottles. If it's supposed to move like a rook, it shouldn't get extra moves.

@@Subt0nix Blade dancer absolutely deserves a nerf even if bottles didn't exist. You can fork any two pieces and most of the time you can keep chaining from there until you capture the king, or at least wipe several pieces of the board in one turn. And even if your chain fails you get to retreat for free. It's by far the most powerful piece in the game right now.

Blade dancer works with rocks! If you ever have a blade dancer and have the opportunity to get the shovel which places rocks you can sometimes win in 1 or 2 turns and sometimes you get a lot of pieces because of the combo

Gotta say that any Bottle item with the Portal Mage is pretty broken. The opponent’s King/General doesn't see the Portal Mage as a threat, but by using a bottle you can immediately take the King/General out.

Maybe I'm not fully understanding the rules or I'm just missing something, but I believe that Tyler could've just ended the match at 9:55 with his Blade Dancer. Using the top left of the board as the origin, if he'd moved through the portal and taken the Pegasus at F4, then the Rook at F2, the Bishop at D2, then the General/King at F1, that would've been game right then. Edit: After reviewing the description of the Blade Dancer, it moves by "jumping," so maybe it can't use portals. If so, that's kinda dumb, but probably done that way specifically to not make that piece too OP.
