Totally enjoyed the interview. Great Q&A. I don't own one but the Evolution has a great look and style to it.

Great video! I am looking at getting an Aliner next Spring. I like so much about this product and the simply of it. I look forward to the new updated Aliner and all the off grid capabilities. Thanks again for this great interview. Such great questions!

Whoa, super cool of Brett to give his time for this video. We loved our Aliner. We had 2.5 years of year-round camping opportunities and use in Arizona while we owned it. Pros: Garaged at home, easy to tow, easy to setup, and great shelter while boondocking. Cons: No gray tank. Campgrounds do not like waste poured on their property, even trying to catch it in a bucket underneath the camper. No black tank. Figure out a solution (we bought a cassette toilet for indoor use). Poor A/C performance, even in 85-90+ degree weather. What this meant was, it was a great camper when you can plan around weather for comfort, and have shower/toilet options. We traded ours for a larger travel trailer with more comfort features, but, that was our decision, and not Aliner's problem. Summary: An Aliner is a super camper for weekend trips (you can boondock two nights no problem and figure out exterior shower options and digging a cathole). It's also a super camper for two nights at a campground, plugged in for full power, and using the campground bath/shower amenities. My only caution is insulation and weather forecasts for A/C use above 85 degrees. The furnace is hot... so, no problems going to colder climates and staying warm. The fridge is small at 3 cu ft, but it'll hold a few groceries while you bring a cooler iced down for drinks. Oh, and you'll have to pack a duffel bag of clothes, because the Aliner does not have a wardrobe closet. Reminiscing, I kinda miss our Aliner. It was our "hardcore tent on wheels" when we really wanted to get away and boondock. Cheers to Brett and you for making this video happen. Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL

My main reason for looking at an Aliner is weight. I have a "maximum" towing limit of 2,500 pounds on my Rav4, and I don't want to get anywhere near that upper limit. The Scout Lite is comfortably under the max limit. I've done a lot of camping in tents, where I didn't have ANY amenities, so a Scout Lite will seem luxurious. The A-frame construction of the roof gives me at least some area of 6' headroom, and the solid walls can stand up to a Death Valley winter windstorm a lot better than a tent. I do most of my camping in autumn, winter, and spring, in USFS and National Park campgrounds that don't have hookups, so I'm used to the idea of not having air conditioning, and don't plan on buying my A-liner with that option. The only electric I need is 12 volts for lights and an ARB fridge/freezer, and a couple of 100 watt solar panels is more than enough to supply an ARB in cool weather. I went tent camping at Furnace Creek last December for 11 days with just a single 85 watt solar panel, and never ran out of power to keep my 50 qt. ARB fridge running at 27°F.
