Girl I’m 25 and my goal is to get my splits down. This is hands down the best video out there. I throughly enjoyed that you didn’t speed the video up, the timer in the corner, and that you added modifications. The best part was your voice pushing us to not give up, your inspirational type quotes or whatever didn’t feel cheesy or cliche to me, and that you understood our pain. ❤️

@NellyAmin The more you practice, the less painful it becomes. At some point, it won't hurt at all. Still, don't rush it; go at your own pace. However, if you stop exercising for a long time, you may lose your progress. Nevertheless, you can regain it faster than the first time.@@NellyAmin

I started going to dance classes one year ago and I’m very determined to get the splits, so I’m trying to repeat this stretching everyday. *I’m not flexible at all lol* Day 1: about 24.5 cm/9.6 inches from the ground and it hurts a lot. Day 2: same as yesterday Day 3: about 23 cm from the ground but it still hurts so much. Omg I’m not sure my legs will survive for long. Day 4: about 21 and it hurts less. I’m impressed! Day 5: 19,5 cm I think, but it hurts a lot 😣. Day 6: same as yesterday. Day 7: still 19,5 cm but it hurts way less luckily! Day 8: I haven’t done it because I got my period and also a terrible pain. Day 9: I did it but I had some difficulties because of my period pain. Hope it will finish soon lol. Also it’s 8 March so good international women’s day to all the girls out there, stay strong and positive, you can reach whatever you want! 💗 Day 10: about 19 cm but I can reach it “comfortably” Day 11: about 18 cm, I won’t give up 💪🏻! Day 12: about 15 cm, I’m so happy!¡ Day 13: 14 cm Day 14: 13 cm, keep going! Day 15: same as yesterday Day 16: I haven’t done the stretching for four days because I had a pain in my left leg and hip. I think I did some movements wrong so... today I’ve done it more carefully and I didn’t do the last exercises. Tomorrow I’ll update how I feel. Day 17: yesterday I forgot to update (I don’t think it is a problem since nobody is seeing this ahah) however I feel good but I can’t go past 14 cm. Also, since it’s getting a bit long, I’ll update once a week. 27/03/2020: I’m not here to update any progress but simply to tell you that I hope you and your families are all ok. Stay at home, please! ❤️ Ok so after about one month I have to say that it’s getting more and more difficult to achieve any progress, even though I’m doing stretching everyday. However I won’t give up. Thank you all for your nice comments! 💗 10/05/2020 your comments reminded me to update this. So right now after almost two months of daily stretches I have to be honest and say that I haven’t reached my split yet. However I can do lots of things more easily and I feel much more comfortable when doing my “split”. I also really improved my grand battements and développés à la seconde. 29/05/2020 soooo I’m about 5 cm from the ground 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 22/06/2020 I haven’t reached my middle split yet. Those damn 5 cm ahah. However I really improved the other splits, I can hold them for a much longer time and completely reach the ground. 30/06/2020 yesterday I almost did it but I was so scared honestly I don’t know why. I think I didn’t want to rip all my muscles 😂 I’ll try again today and I’ll let you know. Thanks to @selina xu who reminded me to update! 07/07/2020 ok so now I can reach 2 cm 28/07/2020 I haven’t been stretching much in these days because it’s so damn hot here!!!!!! UPDATE: 27/11/2021: I completely forgot about this comment, but just in case you’re wondering, I am now able to do it. I managed to get it in about one year and half, which I know is not a short period of time obviously but if you wanna get results you’d better work hard and consistently. So don’t give up! I’m super happy because now I’m much more flexible and this really helps me when I dance. I also suggest you to follow Lazy dancer’s tips and Anna McNulty tutorials.

When i tried it first time , my legs were so week , that they were shaking a lot and i was not able to hold any stretch for like 5 seconds . Then i kept challenging myself by holding a stretch for longer period of time then her ( for eg , if she held a stretch for 15 sec , i would hold it for 30 sec )and now i have seen a lot of progress . I can hold my stretches for a very long time without screaming and my legs are almost not shaking anymore . I feel like my legs are getting stronger and stronger and i has been only a few days . Also , my legs are zero % flexible so yeah , i had no advantage of anything while doing these stretches.

I started from like 40cm to the ground and now I'm at 5cm or sth. To everyone who's thinking about doing it: definitely do it. It's worth it!!💖

For those of you who want to do this I'm going to show my two week results here! And I will give updates afterwards. Day 1: I have done others of her stretches before, so I can do these. It's hurts really badly but a good pain :D Day 2: it hurts when I walk but I still did the stretch. Not too bad! Day 3: I did it. I got a deeper stretch on my wall straddles today but I did have to stop on my half middle splits because it hurt so much. Day 4: I ALMOST GOT MY MIDDLE SPLITS! I think I'll get it very soon!! The stretches didn't hurt that bad but I held my half middle splits for two minutes extra and I held as far as I can go in my middle splits for two minutes as well. I cannot wait until I get my full middle splits!! Day 5: My leg muscles definitely tightened. I can't hold my half middle splits without being in sharp pain but I did it anyways. I couldn't hold my actual middle splits today 😭 it hurt so bad. But I'm sure it will be better tomorrow. (Also, I have a huge bruise on the bottom of my right foot that prevents from doing some stretches right now 😔) Day 6: I was going on vacation so I didn't get to stretch (I should have since I was in a car for 10 hours though) Day 7: I ALMOST had my middle splits! I wasnt as flexible though. I think my muscles are still a little tight but ill probably have my middle splits very soon! I have about 3 more inches to go!! Day 8: forgot to stretch Day 9: I stretched but I couldn't hold my middle splits but I almost got them. I also couldnt the last stretch. My arms and feet are still shaking 😂 Day 10: I did all of it but I couldn't hold my middle splits. It hurt a little, I'm sure I could do it but I'm just scared/nervous 😂 I did hold my middle splits for at least 10 seconds longer than yesterday though Day 11: I made it. I couldn't hold it but I finally got them. Thank you so so so much, Alivia. I'm so proud of myself right now 😂💖

Essentially I do these routines Daily and even after the last five years I still can’t get my left split back. She takes Sixmonths off and has to restart but isn’t fine ? For everyone who is not motivated, I assure you that you will see progress. I’ve been doing other stretches including this one since February, and until now I haven’t completely touched the floor. BUT, when I first started I was like about 10 in of the ground, now all my leg touches the floor but my hips which are about 2 in off the ground. So don’t give up, no matter how long it takes. And consistency is the answer to your goal. I will update whenever I fully touch the floor. Oh and btw, this also helps make things easier when doing normal exercising like exercises where you lift your leg, I noticed the I lift my leg the highest from all the other people.

Tip: when doing middle splits go against a wall or couch of bed to keep them straight and when doing the half middle split do it on a straight line like the edge of a yoga mat

I used to have my middle splits, but I lost it. Trying this video. Splits make small improvements after a few days. Your motivational messages through the video helped a lot. Thanks, Alivia. Who else lost their middle splits? Click a like if you did.

I 100% recommended the wall stretch for middle splits if u plan on trying some stretches. As a dancer splits are still pretty important and helpful for dances. Middle splits to me are the hardest to get but the wall stretch really makes you feel it
