I was in a really bad car accident in 2013 where I almost lost my foot. I have a lot of nerve damage and a LOT of titanium in my ankle. Because of my accident, my entire foot from my ankle down doesn't work quite right. HOWEVER, I do your stretches a couple times a week and let me just say, I credit YOU that I can stand on my tiptoes again. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for sharing your passion, seriously you have given me so much more than any physical therapist could. I have so much dexterity in my toes and ankle... I will never be healed but your stretches have pushed me to do more than even my orthopedic surgeon thought I could do. Thank you alivia.... For everything ❤️

Now that we’re all basically trapped inside of our houses because of the Coronavirus, I’ve been trying to exercise more and stretch even when I’m not in dance class, and these videos have really helped me, even though I’ve only been using them for four days or so. I’ve been watching everything from splits videos to how to get a more flexible back for beginners. I am not flexible , but I’ve managed to get my left split a few years ago. I’ve been so close to my right split and i just recently got it! These videos have been helping me stretch so I don’t lose it, and have been helping me be more active, and not be lazy. Plus, when I watch these videos, it feels like someone is really doing these exercises with me and motivating me, so TYSM for these videos. You are truly an amazing, and caring person. Don’t ever stop! 💞

Dang girl! I'm 32 years old and attempted this. I was a competitive gymnast when I was young and I really miss being that flexible. I have practiced yoga all of my life, but I do practices that are more for relaxing into a stretch and because of that I'm not as flexible as I'd like to be. So doing this and really pushing myself is going to be just the key. Thanks for sharing this practice!

I play volleyball, why am I wathing this😂 I have to say, you are really good at motivating and your tips are so good! I always wanted to have my splits, so lasr year I streched (I only stretched my good leg, I thought it isn't fun to stretch the other side... ) So I got my good leg split. Now, I think two months ago I started stretching my bad leg. I am pretty far down, there are about 3cm left. Last week I started to stretch for my middle splits, because why not😂. About three months ago I got my scorpion, but now I didn't stretch my back and shoulders, because I didn't have time, so I lost it. A lot of people might say, I am stretching for no reason, but I think it is fun to see, how "normal people" (I mean people who aren't gymnasts, dancer, skater, cheerleader ect..) can get flexible. (I was a skater, but I didn't have to stretch, because we had off ice training if we were skating for more than 4 years, I left after the fourth year.)

Still have to take breaks between the splits and middle splits because my legs can't go further enough for me to not use my arms and they're not strong at all (I'm working on them too) so they hurt really bad and can't stay strong enough for 3 minutes straight

My room floor has squares which helps me on my straddle cause I put my left leg on a straight line and the right one gradually changes the lines so that really helps me knowing my progress on the straddle, also helps to be sure I'm doing straight lines on the splits

I’ve been doing this 3 times a day because summers almost over and I’m really bored. It definitely works. I’ve only started doing stuff with flexibility this summer and you’ve helped me a lot . I can already do both splits perfectly and am almost at the middle splits. My straddle is only a bit more then a 90 degree angle though but I’m working on it. Anyways, you’ve kept me motivated . Thank you for that. And if anyone tells me I shouldn’t be doing it 3 times a day, I know. But I can’t help it. It’s really fun seeing yourself improve. But don’t be like me and try to improve quickly. I didn’t have a great bridge but in two hours by myself I pushed me to grab my ankles in it . I even got a back bend in those two hours and i started at 11 at night. I needed up really hurting my back and now I can do neither of those things. For a while I was skipping the back stretches in this because it hurt so much. Oh well. Don’t be an idiot.

if you have access to a physical therapist, you might want to try talking to one. otherwise, take it slow and be sure you're very warm and relaxed, and stretch lots before hand. I used to have problems with that, it mostly went away with time and stretching but it can be a sign that you're overstretching, so make sure you don't push yourself too much.

i know this comment is kind of old, but the same thing used to happen to me. what i did was instead of going into it from standing, try rolling through straddle. sit in straddle forming as straight a line as possible with your legs (180 degrees), reach as far forward as you can, and pull yourself through into it. it'll help you get down further and stop your hip from cramping. hope this helped!

I remember watching this when I was a beginner, when I had no experience with stretching, gymnastics, etc and when I read "oversplit" at the end I was like, "what is an oversplit" I couldn't figure it out, lol but coming back to this now I've realized just how much these videos have helped me and I want to say thank you for all the work and effort you put into these videos for us, so, "Thank you" ☺

I have been stretching for 3 days now (once a day for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) and I have accomplished my goal today (Tuesday) of keeping my hips square in the splits on one leg!! I will keep on stretching my splits for the rest of the week to get my splits proper for my other leg. But, my motivation has totally come from your videos Alivia!!!

Guys, a life hack for you for getting the middle splits. When doing the middle splits try lying down on your chest. I know it hurts at first, but when you manage to lie down your muscles relax and you lower into your middle splits naturally. I couldn't get my middle splits for a long time and I was always leaning on my elbows when doing them, but once i tried lying on my chest i actually managed to get fully into the splits and even reached the floor!(with a little help of my little brother sitting on me afterwards;) Try it, its definitely worth it! Good luck!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!! For the past year I have been stretching every morning before school, at dance and after dance and saw very slow results, however I followed along with this video (and got more inspired by your videos) once every day and saw faster results in two months than I previously had in a year!!!!! This helped me so much thank you

You're such a God send! I'm a pole dancer and want to get more flexible so I can hit more tricks and this is very similar to our stretch classes but I cant go all the time due to work this is perf!

Ok, so... Since I am really inflexible, the straddle part is hella difficult (let's be honest, it's all hard for me). When doing the straddle, should i spread my legs as far as i can then reach my head down, or go to just past my comfort zone and really push my head down?

+Rhianna Bailey both, what I like to do is do the stomach flat on the ground for a while then when I come out push foward more go down again and it gets me really far

I’ve always been a very anti-fitness person but I’m finally able to start dance so I’m trying to just get universally flexible, and I’ve come to love stretching. It helps me just focus on me and myself and stop worrying about all the hardships in my life.

This is the best stretching video I've ever tried - hands down. (I've tried a lot! I can stretch by myself, and most videos don't tend to give me any progress I can't achieve by myself.) I see real progress very quickly when I use this video regularly, especially when I stretch with it after light exercise or at the end of a day that included some movement (some walking, for example). Thank you!

I dance weekly. (I do competitions and recitals too.) (I also do two extra recitals because I do dance class at school too). I dance at my studio Monday through Fridays except for Wednesday(I have torturing on Weds.) Even if you do dance or gymnastics, or cheerleading etc. Stretch on your own! If you want to become really flexible you have to push pAsT your limits. I’m doing these routines every single day. As soon as I get home from dance, eat, quickly do homework, stretch, shower. Then do the same thing again tomorrow(including going to school). It’s gonna take work! I’ll admit I don’t have time to really use my electronics over the week because Im so busy, but who cares! Work for what you want, like good grades, or flexibility. Even stretch over the weekends. So as soon as you wake up freshen up, eat a HEALTHY! Breakfast and then go into your room to stretch. And then do whatever you had plan to do that day. I recommend waking up early over the weekends, 8:30 to 9:00 AM. Make sure you eat right, and get enough sleep. Go to bed at the most 8:00, 9:30 to 10:00 PM over the weekdays, and over the weekends go to bed 10:00 to10:30 to 11:00 PM. Hope I helped, trust me if you do this you’ll feel so much more accomplished, I feel like a whole different person using this schedule. (And remember that somedays I finish dance pretty late like 7:00 and 8:00 is the latest). :)) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
