I honestly cannot believe it worked! Usually these videos of how to do a handstand or flip don't help much but this really did! I already knew how to do a straight handstand for about 5 seconds and then once I started using the balancing techniques, I instantly did it for longer!!! Thank you so much, it helped a lot and I'll try and continue using these tricks. 😁

I can finally do a handstand it took me a week but it worth it! Here's some tips if you need it! 1. Place pillows to your head all the way to your butt, it helps if your about to fall! 2. Try doing handstands on walls. (helps balance your thighs) 3. Make sure your in a quiet area (noise causes distraction) 4. Start with beginner stretches 5. Don't try handstands unless you stretch (Not doing so can cause backaches/cracks 6. When doing a hand stand, lift up one arm quickly and touch the shoulder on the same side of your body with it (helps balance) 7. Wear comfortable clothes, not doing so makes you feel heavy/itchy etc. I hope these tips help, and yes I liked my own comment! :D

These are so helpful, thank you so much! I can't hold it for more than 3 seconds or so sans wall because I'm still building up the strength with push-ups, but instantly I felt so much more balanced. It was a crazy difference! Usually I don't kick up hard enough because I don't want to tip over the other way, but then my legs come down too easily.
@LuminousPresents2 жыл бұрын
If you get like someone you trust and try asking then to hold ur legs up you may be scared and you might be afraid to tip over because ur doing it the wrong way what i mean wrong is ur legs are,nt collected together it may feel like they are but thier not if you do it the right way you,ll get used and not be scared of tiping over by saying the wrong way i dont mean like im being rude im just saying you might

Everybody complimented me on my splits and my bestfried always told me how flexible i was and encouraged me. I never really took it seriously though. Im ten now and i do basketball and swimming. I really miss dance, and i now realize if i still did dance i would have a huge advantage. I regret not doing it anymore, even though it was partly not my fault. I have the strength and balance needed, I'm just so freaking terrified to fall backwards into a bridge!!! My mom hates gymnastics and she read me a bunch stories about spinal cord injuries and paralysis so if I start tipping back I panick and I just go back to the wall 😭 It's cool though I'll get over it...eventually

Maddie Fishblob yeah, the first time I fell I landed in second position of bridge, it was not painful, I did it on hard grass.

Just strech your back, wrists and shoulders A LOT. You are going to fall but if you strech ı promise nothing dangerous will happen, and for balancing try to do a stag handstand first

Hey Alivia, nice tips! There is one thing I'd like to note though-- I have taught gymnastics for 11 years and I always ask my kids (and fellow coaches) about which leg they use and which hand they write with, and there's no correlation whatsoever. I also have had a lot of kids who tumble on one leg, but prefer the other leg for leaps and split jumps (because their split is stronger on the other side). I have always asked other people about this since I began coaching because I am one of the many people who writes righty, tumbles lefty, and prefers leaps and split jumps righty. So, for those of you who haven't figured out which leg you prefer in front, just try a cartwheel on both sides (to the best of your ability, if you don't have much experience with cartwheels). I suggest a cartwheel (or mini cartwheel) as opposed to a handstand (or mini handstand) because if you choose to pursue other skills besides handstands in the future, your tumbling won't just be based off of which leg you like to balance on and push off of, but also which way you prefer to twist. Hope this helps the beginners out there! :)
