All 25 Killers Ranked from Least to Most Intelligent! (Dead by Daylight Tier List)

Hey everyone, today we’re going to be ranking all of the killers from least to most intelligent. For some characters I’m going to count in strategy and survival as part of intelligence, as obviously the killers in the game have such a wide variety of experiences. Some live out in the woods, secluded and alone, others basically exist in the modern day, and some are completely otherworldly. So, with that in mind, let’s get into it.
Chapter 21.5 has been revealed and is named Hour of the Witch, featuring new survivor Mikaela Reid. Mikaela is bringing a new type of survivor perk named Boon perks, that can bless dull totems, turning them into Boon totems.

Considering Nemesis is engineered to as smart as a human, as it both disables things to prevent Jill's escape and intentionally misses by throwing the flamethrower in front of her so it can show off the rocket launcher in the remake, I don't think it's accurate to put it in the least intelligent spot. Much of the time its behavior is more toying with its target more than just going for the immediate kill - in one route of the original RE3 it kills Nikolai very efficiently because he's messing with Nemesis's target. While it is noted they had to work to reduce the Nemesis-types intellect as one of the other prototypes managed to outsmart and escape confinement, the fact it's smart enough to choose to toy with its targets and is able to be given relatively complex orders and adapt to changes in the situation makes me think it should be at least above the killers noted to act on instinct and those with noted mental impairment / lower intellect. Love your content, but you can't do my boy Nemmy like that

If we’re using the 2018 timeline, Myers is very smart. He knows exactly what people are going to do and how to stop them, when to kill, how to get away with it, and especially from what we’ve seen in Halloween Kills trailers, he has gotten much smarter over his 40 years in prison.

@@AZHYMOVS He got trapped because Laurie knew Michael would come after her again, and prepared multiple traps that Michael could never expect, i think he is much more Intelligent than many of the other killers, though also driven by literal evil, the personification of it, manifestation of it. So, an argument could be made that he himself is not intelligent, but the malign force that controls him is. Comparable to Demo IMO.

Michael is actually pretty smart if you analyse what he does in the films. He's not only extremely resilient, he's very good at creating strategies and predicting the near future. He's also an escape artist, a good one. Of course a lot of his acts are enhanced by his supernatural strength and resistance, but we have to remember he's basically evil incarnate.

@@Ok-vx7cb right but the criteria they’re being judged on seems inconsistent, pinhead is definitely a master of pain, but then again the doctor was literally studying how to inflict the most pain possible and continues to do so in the realm. Also the doctor does all his work very personally, while the bulk of the torturing is done by other cenobites, not pinhead specifically. They’re both definitely smart but the explanations for ranking seem inconsistent and contradictory.

I agree, Nemesis-T Type could understand commands as well as comprehend visual materials like photos and videos to recognize its objectives. It is also faithful to its target and will only eliminate obstacles in the way or perceived collaborators, it does not kill indiscriminately.

This is kind of a tricky thing to list, because "intelligence" is such a broadly and variously defined concept with all sorts of varieties, which would have different killers at the top for each. For instance, if we're talking about *academic* intelligence, I'd put Doctor and Blight at the top, no question; but if we're discussing *strategic* intelligence I'd put Trapper above them, and if we're discussing *creative* intelligence or innovation I'd put Deathslinger as top-tier.

I'd actually argue Pinhead would be basically on par with Blight, just in different areas. Before he became a Cenobite, he was both an accomplished military commander AND a quite well read occultist (skills that have only improved since becoming the Hellpriest) who tracked down the Lament Configuration purely through his own investigative skill, basically doing what Blight did, but breaking into Leviathan's realm rather than that of the Entity. Just my thoughts

Then Michael would be pretty high on the list, if we go by the OG-lore. Cause OG Myers is a supernatural being with immortality, high intelligence and regeneration powers. He is an unstoppable killing machine on Halloween, even though he doesn't want to do it in the OG-timeline (as we can see in H5 with him crying because of Jamie and him being controlled by the Thorn-cult as explained in H6 PC).

Nemesis least intelligent? A Tyrant is stated to have human level intelligence. Nemesis is a Tyrant with a parasite that gives him a secondary brain, making him far smarter. And he's stated to be able to expertly use any weapons it can get it's hands on(as long those weapons are big enough for him use). Jill can survive against him due to her own abilities and plot armor.

Myers is actually pretty smart and should be placed higher in my opinion. He knows how to stalk as you mentioned but he also knows when to attack as well. He sometimes plays with his victims in his own evil way. He knows what to do and when to do it precisely. And if you talk about how he gets cornered, shot, trapped in the house and burned etc I think he could prevent himself being in those situations but he just does not care because he knows he can't be stopped. Especially in 2018 Halloween, the stare he gave Laurie while being trapped as the house was burning felt like "You know this won't stop me Laurie, I will come back."

Don’t say that nemesis is dumb. Say that Remake nemesis was dumb. Nemesis in original re3 was smart enough to cause flooding to get Jill out of the basement, he was camping her at the exit and most importantly he shot the helicopter with rocket launcher preventing Jill’s escape. In Remake he does non of that.

It's important to mention that many times in the Halloween films, Myers used tricks to lure his victims into an area of advantage or where he wouldn't be seen killing. For example, in the first film, Myers pulls down a hanging potted plant to divert Annie's attention, in which she subsequently goes outside to put clothes in the laundry and is locked in by Myers so he has enough time to do other "business". At least that's how I remember the scene took place.

Myers is known as one of the smartest killers, second only to Pinhead. It seems like he's not because he's quiet and almost doll-like, when really he's constantly observing as he goes. An example of how ruthless he is is that for his entire stay in Smith's Grove he psychologically tortured ALL the other inmates in his age group. He was the smallest, youngest and seemingly the weakest, but a tiny child pretty much controlled the sanitarium. Loomis knew this and Michael actually smirked at him.....Michael plays the long game (this was shown in a Halloween comic prequel about Michael's time in custody before his escape in 1978.) The short game means nothing when ultimately he wins at the end.

Billy is actually very smart. Just not in conventional ways. The way billy kills the cops it’s very smart. Some people say he knows the land but when he attacks he only has experience around the barn. I doubt he has any experience in the woods nearby. He is also very good at making modifications to his chainsaw and things of the sort.

nemesis is actually like a computer, he had the potential to become an unstoppable genius seeing how fast he’d evolve to his surroundings and adapt, being able to use weapons, slowly understanding how he can manipulate zombies to his will, and even predicting where jill would be next. if he wasn’t killed so quickly he’d be completely unstoppable, he was like a sponge soaking up information

I agree with most you said except Pinhead being lower than Ghostface. Pinhead (Elliot Spencer) used to be a capitan of the British Army during WW1 and fought in the Battle of Somme. It's stated that cenobites lose ONLY their memories when transformed, which can be regained, but other than that nothing gets lost. Ghostface is a good strategist, but Pinhead is a better one as he needed to make good strategies to keep his men alive and achieve victories during war. In his quest to search for pleasure after the ww1 he researched and tried many stuff until he found out about the Lament Configuration, which in the moment he found one he already knew everything about it, unlike the other people who came in contact with that box. So honestly I think he should be solid 3rd place above Ghostface.

Disagree with Nemesis being the least intelligent. While you are correct in saying he's basically driven by a parasite, and certainly he doesn't have a mind of his own, nor does he have free will however I would argue that despite all that he still is more intelligent than say Huntress and possibly some other killers, but I'll stick to Anna. Nemesis has the ability to speak, he sure doesn't do that much and only uses a simple phrase but that's still more than none. He still recognises threats as well as faces perhaps (he knows exactly who Jill is after all) and is capable of being incredibly agile as well as using different weaponry, not to mention tracking. Then we have Anna, who grew up in the woods, uses the most simple of weapons known to man, doesn't understand the meaning of death (proven by her lore where she would abduct little children that she thought she was taking care of, not understanding they would die of starvation) and not sure if she can speak. Her emotional capability reflects as to one of a child or a caveman, given that she recognises the state of the need to hunt in order to feed herself, or kill to defend herself (or retrieve what she desires) and is also capable of tracking and making her own makeshift weapons. Just my thoughts tho :)

I think nemesis is just a step above demo considering that despite physical attacks being most of his attacks, compared to others like Mr.X, he learns to use more than just his brute strength and actually uses some of the environment and weaponry to try and hunt down jill.
