I like Patsy as well. She’s probably one of the best tomboys to ever be in a cartoon. When she lied to her dad that the Valentine was for him to protect Lazlo, you could see how much she cared for him and when she beat him in the pinecone sitting contest, she didn’t brag about beating him. She asked if he was okay and even offered to help him up. Jodi Benson also did a great job voicing her.

I watched this with my grandpa back in the day and Lumpus was his favorite character. He really is the perfect grumpy adult in the room and it’s always funny for him to say stuff to the scouts you wish you could say to annoying kids in real life. You don’t see a lot of adults characters being sarcastic to young characters.

The Life and Times of Juniper Lee is another underrated Cartoon Network show, which aired in May 2005 along with Camp Lazlo. You should do a video on that one!

In my opinion this isn't one of those shows that's gut bustingly hilarious, but is funny and endearing enough to where you keep wanting to watch it. I also find it really cool that this show's main character has quite a bit of similarities with Stephen Hillenburg's show's main character SpongeBob, considering Hillenburg was heavily involved with Murray's first show Rocko's Modern Life.

I would agree! The show doesn’t have me in stitches, but it does a great job creating a feeling/ good vibes. I also see the SpongeBob similarities. I wonder how far we’d have to go back in history to see the first ‘not so bright, flamboyant’ character in a cartoon.

Oh yeah definitely and as a kid even as an adult now what drew me in was just the laid back cozy feeling of the show from the episodes plots down to the backgrounds and setting that and lazlo as character was basically my how I was as kid whenever I go back to this show outside of nostalgia is mainly the overall cozy feel of it

Its a show i constantly revisit , many memories associated with watching Camp lazlo during a Summer day are some of my most nostalgic memories and the show itself is Timeless which is a touch in writing and background i appreciated later on in my life.

I think one of my favorite aspects of Camp Lazlo was the background design. It's easy to overlook when the character design and stories tend to get pretty weird, but the world feels so fleshed out, and I think it influenced my own art style a lot.

this show was so fun! i'm glad to see other folks appreciating it, it just had such a good-natured vibe. lazlo's cheerfulness is infectious, he's a great protagonist for a series like this! and all the other characters are great too, raj was always my favorite as a kid because i too was the scaredy nerdy kid in my friend groups 😂

I watched Camp Lazlo while living with my Grandmother. She lived in a old house surrounded by woods, so it felt like summer camp. Also I was not aware as a kid that Rockos Modern Life and Camp Lazlo shared a Creator. But I can totally see it now

Camp Lazlo was my favorite show when I was 10. Clam was my favorite. Watching this makes me wanna go and revisit it.

This show was one of my favorites growing up and I’ve been super nostalgic for it lately. Whenever people bring up classic Cartoon Network shows no one ever talks about it for some reason. Also I had absolutely no idea Ariel herself was a regular voice actor on this show 😂😂

Another thing worth mentioning, would be the show’s bluegrass themed soundtrack. It definitely gave the show that rustic vibe of being out in the wilderness along with the art style.

You are correct! The music was a huge part of the show. They actually never made their own, but licensed it all from music libraries. Thus why some of it is the Same as Spongebob. I wanted to touch on that, but I was pretty new and thought a 20 minute video might be too much. Now I’m seeing that longer videos do better though. Thanks!

I remember the Meatman episode of Camp Laszlo. And the Aliens who stole Cheese from Camp Kidney. This Show had a Specific Spongebob feel to the Series and i Loved it as a Kid. This Show deserves more Love.
