I was really amused that in Wingspan you get less actions each round and in Mariposas you get more each round! I’ve only played Mariposas once but I’m excited to play it more. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! ❤️

Maybe I need to seek this out someday. On the surface it looks a bit light, but you are not the first to suggest that there is more going on here than first meets the eye. Although I have to admit that the Knizia reference leaves me a bit cold (quickly ducks behind large object to avoid the brickbats (what precisely is a 'brickbat'?) and stones being thrown his way). When he's on his game, and even when he's a bit off, Knizia games are quite clever in their use of mechanisms. But they often leave me feeling quite similar to the sentiments behind this quote from one of my favourite movies, "Oh, I get it. It's very clever. How's that working out for you?" Anyway, nice video.

Right near the end... "It plays in 20 minutes." Wait, what? Is this just a filler? Fillers play in 20 minutes. Well I guess you could say its a game that efficiently delivers fun. It seems too big to be a filler. Is it easy to teach and learn... because that would be a good filler. Its not super cheap which is usually a filler. Ok... it seems like it could be used as a filler for two people but it is actually a big ole game that takes more time with more people... which means I might be hanging out a while waiting for my turn... thats sounds like it might add stress in a racing game. Is this a stressful game because when the sand timers come out I feel my blood pressure, well, it just goes crazy. Not to say there are sand timers in this game. I mean if there where sand timers you would have said so I think and you didn't. So... ...I'm a little worried about this game. PS Its better than wingspan. Oh, well then. Let's play!
