I have a Duncan, it is at the top of my tank in the strongest flow and light. Having said that my A360X is only set to 35% intensity. Its tentacles are now long and and I love the way they sway in the current.

I have a Duncan coral that I’ve kept in the middle of my rock structure. It’s shaded by a overhanging rock above it and gets mild flow (definitely moves a tad slower than the ones in this video) and the tentacles turned into hammers just like a hammer coral. Looks unreal

What PAR lighting level range do you generally recommend to stay between with Duncan’s? I’ve heard they’re pretty adaptable from as low as 40-50 PAR, and can actually be acclimated to do well in higher PAR levels of 150 and possibly even higher. Not sure if all that is true or not, but would be helpful to know for placement purposes in my tank. Thanks, and great video as always!

My duncan started to grow 5 new heads under the main head.. then it completely closed up . 5 days now. Is that normal?

Hey Brock, my clown fish are bothering this coral too much. Can clown fish kill Duncan’s or they just get use to it?
@BrockLeonard
@BrockLeonard 4 жыл бұрын
I’d definitely recommend moving the coral to a new spot in the tank. I’ve seen clowns damage corals from hosting them too aggressively.

You provide the most informative videos I have seen! I have been watching tidal gardens because they spotlight different coral but no where near the info that helps people keep them and I am always pausing to write down notes as I have 12 frags arriving, so I love that you put it up on the screen, so I dont rewind and all like I do on theres! I also like the lighting you have is natural so I can see true colors> I was farid I had neon as most of the video I watch show blue lighting and colors are so much more vivid so I was about to make a huge mistake and add some bright oranges and other neon color when in fact these are very pale colored. I did see someone with yellow and pink ones. Do they come in that color or was it different lighting
@BrockLeonard
@BrockLeonard 5 жыл бұрын
Karen Nation I have seen some with yellow and pink colorations, however the blues really help bring that out. Under whiter light you won’t see it as much. Btw you’re making my new year with these sweet comments 🥰

Aint there two types branching & none branching ?
@BrockLeonard
@BrockLeonard 5 жыл бұрын
Loverboy Smith I don’t think so with Duncan. I know with hammers you can get branching hammers or Wall Hammers that grow all together.

@@BrockLeonard Some I guess branch & some clusters . Various threads on line . Could be dependent on flow & placement . I don't claim to be an expert but have seen some that really branch . I would like sta get one one-day . Thanks for the reply
@BrockLeonard

Loverboy Smith ohhhh yeah yeah yeah, I see what you’re saying now. I’ve noticed in higher currents they’ll cluster but in lower currents, they tend to branch real long.

Hey Brock ( And to everyone else "Hey everybody, Hey everybody, Hey everybody") I just got a really nice Sebae anemone! It was already footed to a rock, it seems to really enjoy his placement spot as well. My Gladiator Clowns took to it immediately! Hopefully we can see Brock Leonard video on care soon?
