Well Polar's real name is Pilar so she could be Spanish. And since they mentioned cold winters with snow and ice in her backstory, she might be from Northern Spain. Although I do hear some sort of Swedish elements to her accent as well. I'm not ignoring high altitude the Meso and South Americas either. But my money is on northern Spain with that accent.

Specialist beds are only used by that kind of minion, and help them recover Endurance faster. Other minions won't touch them, unless they have literally have nowhere else to go (and even then, it hurts their Loyalty a little and makes it take longer for them to recover Endurance). Specialist furniture is useful for designating a room for use by specific kinds of minion. Generic beds and luxury beds can be used by anyone, and no minion type dislikes them; good for a centralized barracks that everyone uses, but not great for keeping minions in particular parts of the base. Luxury beds, in particular, restore endurance extremely quickly, even faster than a specialist in a corresponding specialist bed, but they're less efficient overall and minions will prefer them over other bedding, leading to them becoming crowded quickly. I generally stick with a small central barracks and place specialized mini-barracks in places where that type of minion is most needed. I don't like having centralized minion facilities. I prefer for each minion type to have specialized facilities for restoring stats close to their workplace, to minimize spent off the job. I only build centralized facilities for Workers, Technicians and Valets, since they need to be able to get basically everywhere to excavate, build, place furniture, fix stuff, extinguish fires, and retrieve collapsed or knocked-out minions.

I'm pretty deep into my own Polar campaign right now and I actually didn't play much of this when it came out despite the fact I pre-ordered. I haven't played extensively since the first evil genius and I absolutely love how in-depth the side stories are. I'm also a wolf of the great North so I feel like I would be one of Polar's henchmen given the opportunity.

I've got this game figured out and really enjoy it... Unfortunately it has become almost unplayable as it crashes All The Time!

Oh, that sucks! I'm really lucky, so far I've only had a couple crashes over four runs. Hopefully whatever is causing the problems gets worked out for you!

For my barracks I prefer a catacomb design with 4 beds around a pillar - for pilar, wait polar

Prior to patches, Africa was tied for the most money generated per second, and because Wrecking Bola is the weakest super agent, it was easiest to generate money there with minimal threat. After updates, the devs made all regions of the game identical for raw money generation numbers. However, Africa is still the best generator overall because Wrecking Bola is still the weakest super agent, and SABER's agents aren't any stronger than anyone else. So Africa is still the best place to get started because it presents the weakest threat.
