That band is pure garbage bro , and In no way shape or form is their music anywhere near what I'd consider true metal music, as I said it's pure garbage. Anyone who needs to downtune 1.5 steps to C+ or lower in order to sound "heavy" , has zero taste , very litttle talent if any and is not and never will be true metal I my opinion. You want true metal, metal deserving of the upmost respect , try interlude riff at 2min in from Angel of Death by Slayer, or any riff from Damage Inc. by Metallica , or how about the primary riff from Metallica's Frayed Ends of Sanity , if you can sound as heavy and amazingly powerful , tight and crisp yet chunky as F while in standard tuning like those songs I just mentioned display then and only then will you get my respect as a player and or listener/fan of metal , because any true metal guitarist can accomplish all those characteristics to their sound while playing in standard tuning, and along with their true musical talent they must have to sound like that , and get that heavy from standard tuning, anyone who needs to down tune so far to get those even just a couple of those sound characterics has no true musical talent and deserves very little if any respect in my opinion.

hey ray, since i know you are one of the few youtubers that actually perform live with these amps i have a question for you, if you look on the net everyone has this question on this amp (and mk2). i have this same amp, but like many people that own it feel the dirty channel is not as loud as lets say a marshall head or dual rec head. on the orange forums they say you have to crank the volume to 10 to get it to project in a live setting. im just wondering if you have come upon this issue when u use this in a live setting. thanks in advance ray n keep rocking.

@@Yats6417 no, just wider singlecoils, they will stay with that characteristic regardless how wound. For example they are warmer/fuller, have more mids and less high end than Strat pu's, also lot of low end. The Bridge Pu on his own can still be very ice picky if not played with the tone knob but both Pu together = perfect. Why don't you give standard tuning a shot, metal music loses it's meaning and beauty and overall energy and power when someone has to downtune cause they dont have the musical ability or skill to sound truly heavy which would be of course sounded heavy and ruthless with standard tuning. That stereotypical overly downtuned type garbage sound is what came along and absolutely just ruined true metal music, it will never be the same or come back until players realize that and learn how to sound not just equally as heavy but actually heavier while retaining standard tuning , look back to old 80's classic trash metal to see and hear how it's truly done and what the real meaning of the "heavy" in heavy metal means.

I understand what you're saying but do you need to trash a guy on his channel because he's not playing what you prefer? There is some old school thrash that is pretty weak and cheesy albeit still in standard tuning. The heaviness of metal goes beyond tunings like you said.. but metal is not ruined man, it's still alive and well.
