Three billy goats live in a valley, all named "Gruff." There is very little grass in the valley, so they must cross a river to get to "sæter" (a mountain pasture) to graze and fatten themselves up. But under the bridge lives a fearsome and hideous troll who kills and eats everyone who tries to cross. The smallest billy goat goes first. The troll stops him and threatens to "gobble him up!" The little goat tells the troll he should wait for his big brother to cross, because he is larger and would make for a more gratifying feast. The greedy troll agrees and lets the smallest goat pass. Then the medium-sized billy goat approaches the bridge. He is more cautious than his brother, but the troll stops him too. The second goat convinces the troll to wait for their eldest brother, the largest of the three, and the troll lets him pass as well. Then the largest billy goat steps on to the bridge and meets the troll waiting to devour him. The largest goat challenges him to fight and then throws him into the water with his horns. The troll drowns in the stream, and from then on the bridge is safe. The three billy goats go to eat in the rich fields around the summer farm in the hills, and live happily ever after Credit to wikipedia

Bantam hens are extremely broody. We had one hen that roosted with her mate and the standard sized hens, then one day we found her sitting on 17 eggs under our shed. In the morning the rooster would run to her and sit on the eggs while she went for food and water. Yes, they will hatch standard size eggs and care for the babies the same. I actually keep a bantam hen just for hatching eggs, since my layers won’t go broody. It beats buying young chicks and having to raise them in a warm brooder pen. 😊

Russell’s frame will stop growing around the age of one. Then he will continue to fill out with muscle and body girth until the age of two. He looks right on target for a giant breed to me. He will eat a lot during growth spurts, and on other days much less. When we rescued our Yeti at 9 months and he was the size of a young donkey…but 40 pounds underweight! 😮 He is extremely taller than any of our Great Pyrenees we have ever owned…Now he has filled completely out and gained at least 50 more pounds. He’s actually a Maremma/Akbash mix. He’s so tall and long too. He fits across the entire back seat of my full size truck, from one window to the other, and he loves to take rides! Your dogs are awesome! ❤

OH. By the way. I learned a pro tip from a vet. If Russell had any kind of infection from his wound, he wouldn't be eating or drinking. That rule of thumb has saved me a ton of money taking animals to the vet! That's why when you call the vet because your cat got in a fight, etc, they always ask "is he eating and drinking?" Just a fun animal infection fact 😅
@kathybrem8802 ай бұрын
Not necessarily
@TDeezyDoesIt2 ай бұрын
@kathybrem880 NO. You are correct! I didn't write that quite right. Yes, the wound could get infected. But when the infection festers and enters the bloodstream, that is when the animal starts to not feel good and does not want to eat or drink. It is important to always check the stitches every day to make sure 👌 Thank you for not jumping all over me on that one 😉

In order to reach the field, the three Billy Goats had to cross a river. There was only one bridge across the river, and underneath it lived a terrible, grumpy troll. The troll never let anyone cross the bridge, gobbling them up before they reached the other side. So the goats came up with a plan. You'll have to Google the rest lol.

I’m saying this just from watching a 30 minute video every few days, I appreciate you’re with the animals every day. Cora just hasn’t seemed “right” for months. She appears to be lethargic, stand offish, not as happy to see people as she was, even the brightness has gone from her eyes. I’ve been wanting to say something, for months, but knowing how the subscribers that moonlight as Rottweilers in the group act, I hadn’t until now. I know you care properly for all your animals, also knowing the heartaches that your family (especially Rachel) have been going through, sometimes we don’t see, because you see Cora everyday. It’s not like seeing a sudden illness, as I feel this has been a very slow decline that I’ve noticed from tuning in once a week.
