You and I both, Cocoa Femme!. "All In Love Is Fair" really tugs at my heart strings. My wife and I met in high school and have been married now for 43 years, so that's all good. But before we met I'd burned a candle for someone else, and the letdown from that unrequited love is something I've never quite gotten over. Stevie's song goes right to the center of that space in my heart where all those unresolved feelings dwell

I was 13 when this came out on Innervisions album. My brother had this album. I had a puppy love boyfriend named Tony. He started to like another girl and stopped talking to me. I thought I was going to die from a broken heart. I played this song over and over for weeks. I’m a grandmother now, I can remember how heartbroken I felt all those years ago. It’s amazing how music can make you remember certain moments in life.

He’s my absolute favorite artist, and I love him like the air. I breathe. He is not the greatest LIVE performer (he be playing around too much. )however, the The Man IS blimd. but when you listen to the song on the record, it gives you a ticket to ride Express train down memory lane and reduces you to tears and buckets of a goo as you revisit bad decisions mistakes of the past, and the fact that you made it through. What a ride! what a ride

I agree that Stevie’s songs especially in the 70’s were so politically, soulfully, romantically, based on love of life and your fellow man, to go with powerful lyrics, high energy, soul stirring tear jerking melodies that today’s world could not handle. The message of live, romance, care for your fellow man, the earth, love of God, the pain of heartbreak, the unbelievable joy of finding your soulmate, and the unbelievable pain of not living with your soul mate, or the incredible pain of injustice, and the incredible joy of triumph, family, friends, life, and love are what made Stevie a gift to the world.

MAN! You and I, and All in Love is Fair, are the two greatest love ballads ever written, sung, AND played, by one man, in history! I'm 70 years old now, I was 18 in 1972, when he released both songs, I was a musician (lead guitar in a band) and was completely blown AWAY- to this day. These two songs, particularly the original releases done in his prime, are excuisite, unrivalled, hauntingly Beautiful like nothing else, and now bring a tear to my eye- in this shallow world now, with fascist politics and hate, music like this no longer exits- only echoes of the past beauty of the soul. Thank you, Stevie, you were beyond wonder

One of Stevie's most beautiful melodies - which is saying a lot. In 1963 he stood on Ed Sullivan's stage and played Fingertips. It was the 1st time we heard the catch phrase '13 year old Genius'. All these years later, Stevie is still making and producing music. Proving that his genius will last his lifetime, and we have been the ones fortunate enough to benefit from it. Love you, Stevie.

But all in war is so cold You either win or lose When all is put away The losing side I'll play But all is fair in love I should have never left your side A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair -S. God has truly blessed Stevie Wonder with the incredible talent of writing and performing his songs. What a great composer. He happens to sing his on composition better than anyone else, and next, is Jennifer Hudson. I listened to several singers sing the song and was surprised that Barbara Striesand did not do better than many others who sang it, some of which are not very well known.

It might just be the greatest ballad ever written and it's on what I think is his greatest album. When he sings, "I should have never left your side", it just kills me. Love how he improvises the vocals a little on this recording. He's in a class all by himself.

This man is the hero of soul music. The up and coming generation have few guides to what's authentic in terms of soul, love and intellectual prowess. We have to make a change for the sake of our babies up and coming. Love is in need of love today. "Tomorrows to come are the blossom point of seeds sewn within our yesterdays".

I think Stevie is one of the heroes of music. Regardless of labels or genres. He is a very special and gifted human being, he belongs to the same team of giants like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and afew ones more. Genuinelly a genius.
