You and I both, Cocoa Femme!. "All In Love Is Fair" really tugs at my heart strings. My wife and I met in high school and have been married now for 43 years, so that's all good. But before we met I'd burned a candle for someone else, and the letdown from that unrequited love is something I've never quite gotten over. Stevie's song goes right to the center of that space in my heart where all those unresolved feelings dwell

I agree that Stevie’s songs especially in the 70’s were so politically, soulfully, romantically, based on love of life and your fellow man, to go with powerful lyrics, high energy, soul stirring tear jerking melodies that today’s world could not handle. The message of live, romance, care for your fellow man, the earth, love of God, the pain of heartbreak, the unbelievable joy of finding your soulmate, and the unbelievable pain of not living with your soul mate, or the incredible pain of injustice, and the incredible joy of triumph, family, friends, life, and love are what made Stevie a gift to the world.

MAN! You and I, and All in Love is Fair, are the two greatest love ballads ever written, sung, AND played, by one man, in history! I'm 70 years old now, I was 18 in 1972, when he released both songs, I was a musician (lead guitar in a band) and was completely blown AWAY- to this day. These two songs, particularly the original releases done in his prime, are excuisite, unrivalled, hauntingly Beautiful like nothing else, and now bring a tear to my eye- in this shallow world now, with fascist politics and hate, music like this no longer exits- only echoes of the past beauty of the soul. Thank you, Stevie, you were beyond wonder

One of Stevie's most beautiful melodies - which is saying a lot. In 1963 he stood on Ed Sullivan's stage and played Fingertips. It was the 1st time we heard the catch phrase '13 year old Genius'.
