I‘m five years late to the party Patrick; just wanted to compliment you on a beautifully structured piece. Very inspirational as I’m currently pondering purchasing the Shared System. 😃👍🏻👍🏻❤

I first watched this video 2 years ago. Since then I have watched probably 100’s of other modular performance posts on YT. This remains my favourite. Just love it. Your interaction with the system makes this so special - not just sequences but real human/machine relationship. So inspiring in and beautiful. 👏🙏

Superb performance. Took KZbin long enough to get around to suggesting it, but definitely better late than never. I think this performance highlights how many have slowly drifted away, and perhaps forgotten completely, the beauty of this sort of live, unique, non-repeatable performances. Sure, one could memorize everything, but the part that makes such things stand out is that the musician doesn't *have* to follow a set of instructions. They can let their emotions guide the feel of the music and each performance becomes a masterpiece in it's own right. Thank you for sharing this. I am glad you got past your intimidation.

This is truly awesome! I think that over the past year I've gone from idealizing that dj experience you can have with synths by planning out a set and parts and integrating sweeps within that framework and totally not understanding this type of performance to really appreciating the experience this truly is. I guess at first I thought the preset patterns etc from my beatstep pro were going to be the thing that sticks and all I needed was the sound sources to follow. After getting an 0-Coast, there's been way more thought around the way modular allows for this evolving performance and creating flexible patches that can have a lot of dynamics. I'm gonna listen to this again.

Sublime vibes, bud! Congratulations on achieving your goal for a Make Noise set... not a simple task I’m sure! I’m a big fan of your Bluebottle/Fly single and it’s wonderful to hear what you’re currently producing 😎👍 I’m just beginning my modular journey- so far I only have 5 modules in my RackBrute... but of those, two of them are Maths and Mysteron 😁 I also have the 0-Coast so we have a mutual fondness for Tony’s genius! 😊 Thanks for sharing your performance and keep the good vibes coming 👌
This is amazing! I have the same idea of setting up my own system with make noise mods such as René, morphegene and maths. 👌

@PatrickOBrien2 жыл бұрын
I was about 3 years into modular when this was recorded. I was wanting patch all Make Noise since I learned about shared systems, but it was the Morphagene that finally filled the gap to complete the set and patch this.

the best part about modular and not using acoustic instruments is that you can fart and it wont bleed into your drummer's mic and embarrass you during the refrain
