Its not about what he “Needs” to be. Its about what the viewers FUCKEN WANT. Like lets not be ridiculous, there is no hero fatigue, the stories just suck. Not a single mcu project compares to daredevil, so why the hell would i want the new daredevil to become more like the content that ive liked less. And its not about being super edgy and violent. Its about having mature storylines. Realistic bad guys, realistic fighting with non noticeable cuts. Etc

Rewatched Iron Man recently and the recasting of Rhodey/War Machine still holds up as one of the best in the MCU. The way Don Cheadle was able to seamlessly pick up where Terrance Howard left off is still impressive to this day! Can't wait to see what he brings to Armor Wars!

My entire life as a comic book fan I have felt afraid to tell people that I wasn't a fan of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man. While I did love the first two movies for the most part (obviously not the third one) I was never really sold on Tobey in the role. For a lot of people that version was their first exposure to the character and therefore they hold him in high regard despite the many ways it strays from the source material but for me it was never really the case and I just never quite connected with it. Thank you Coy for making me feel better about having my opinion. I'm not saying that people who love that version as much as they do are wrong for doing so but I'm just sick of people acting like that is the definitive version of Spider-Man just because it's the one they grew up when in reality it often strays quite far from the character.

I liked that he included Tobey and Andrew’s incarnation of Peter Parker. I wouldn’t have expected Valkyrie being so high, but that’s what I like about Coy. He’s always got something interesting to say about the comics and films, and he also seems so genuine about comics and I’ll watch a 15-20 minute video or a 1 hour and 42 minute video 😂 because Coy is always saying stuff that I find so interesting and I’ll keep watching Coy’s Comic Corner for as long as possible. KEEP IT UP, COY!!! P.S. I would be curious to see a Top 10 things Coy would want to see them do with Matt Murdock in the future of the MCU.

Nahh Agents of SHIELD got done dirty. That show did so much work to justify his death to the Avengers and his resurrection in the show. I get the whole “his death assembled the avengers and he should stay dead” argument but it just feels shallow. That show bringing him back easily made him and Fury better characters, and even fleshed out the MCU when we were only getting 2 movies a year. Idk with all the canon evidence for the show especially with the Age of Ultron tie in, it just feel disingenuous to not include the show when it can easily put Coulson higher on the list. And I get he said he respects the show. Just more of the same weird Canon limbo Shield has always been in within the MCU fandom. hopefully they come back and ppl start putting respekkk on that shows name.

I knew Iron Man was gonna be number 1, but I'm super happy Captain America made it to number 2. It's hard to relate to Steve Rogers for sure, but I think he's such an inspiration. You mentioned in one of your previous rankings (I think maybe the best fight scenes in the MCU?) one of my favorite Cap moments. In Endgame, after Steve wielded Mijolnir and have Thanos a hard fight, he was overwhelmed and had his shield completely shattered. He was the only one awake to hear Thanos give his speech of malice, and then proceeded to descend with his entire army. You said that that moment showed us who Captain America is. That moment captured the essence of Steve Rogers. His arm gashed, shield broken, allies down, completely outnumbered, he gets up and tightly fastens the shield around his bleeding arm, blaring horns in the background, ready to fight. He was completely ready to fight Thanos and his army alone. Hell, he would've, had everyone not come back. I absolutely adore that moment. The lighting in the sky, shining through the darkness, all from Steve. The idea that someone will not be knocked down, no matter the pain they take, no matter the punishment, that person can keep going. That's so inspiring to me. He really can do this all day. 😅

What I love so much about the reel rejects and especially Coy is the sheer care for these charaters (movies and comics) I live in a small city and there's really not many ppl who I can just talk to about my love which is marvel, and the future of the MCU. It was the trainwreck that is Spider-Man 3 that ruined Maguire Peter Parker. I shared the same annoyance when I saw that movie, in the first 2 movies he's a perfect Spidey. But I will say Mary Jane herself is quite a bad person in the whole trilogy, constantly cheating and betraying everyone. Oh well at least the trilogy had the perfect Jameson, and Aunt May.

That breakdown of the characterization of Tobey's Spider-Man was pretty bad. "He seems like the guy who would get revenge on his bullies in 20 year". Excuse me what? He's Literally portrayed as the nicest guy on the planet. Gives his all as Spider-Man so that everyone else can be safe and happy, even if that means he can't be. "He doesn't respect women" The reason Mary Jane started liking him in the first place is because he took time to ask her what her dreams and aspirations in life are and he believed in her, when no one else did. As far as Spider-Man 3 goes, the whole point of that movie was that since things were going so good for Peter he started letting the fame get to his head, he wasn't thinking about hurting MJ when he kissed Gwen and he obviously regretted it and learned his lesson by the end of the movie. Spider-Man is a flawed hero that deals with normal people stuff, like relationship issues, financial struggles, dealing with personal demons and learning life lessons. To me Tobey maguires Spider-Man reflected that the most.

Also I feel like you do a good job of giving constructive criticism of why certain aspects of character didn't work, but also show love for the things that you thought did work and what they could do in future. Some people take the criticism to far and it becomes hate for the character and stupidly on their part, the actor where you do a good job of saying don't blame the actors for the flaws you might see.

10000000% agree with Tom Holland's spidey. The MCU had the luxury of giving us a spidey origin that weaved its way through 6 movies and I was here for it. I loved it.
