It's insane how i'm this invested with an MCU ranking video that i didn't even realize it's a 50 minute long one until it's already finished. So many of these rankings have been done but this is probably the most in-depth one. Props to Coy for speaking his heart out for, his excitement really made the video even more interesting.

Dude. I am genuinely glad I watched this until the very end. I’m a woman of a certain age who came to Marvel during the pandemic because of WandaVision. This has been an extraordinary journey. It’s helped me tackle a difficult time and helped me with my own identity. Who am I and how do I face the challenges that have become prominent in my life over the last two years. Your summary was so unapologetic and thoughtful that although I might disagree on a couple of rankings, I appreciated your rational because it was informative and educational. I now have a reason why I’m drawn to certain films over others. I understand why I was heartbroken at the disrespect certain characters have been given in recent films. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and passion. As an artist and advocate for art I was moved by your final statements. Thank you.

That was great! Really enjoyed hearing the thought and emotion you invested in these rankings. I took my little boys to watch Ironman when it came out in theater. A dozen years later, my boys are adults and it’s still a tradition we have. Watch every movie together, opening weekend. Get together every Wednesday to watch the latest episode of the Disney+ show. It’s become a cherished tradition. MCU helps keep us close and means a lot to me as well.
@kennethsmith63672 жыл бұрын
Your post actually made me smile. I do the same with my daughter and mother. My mom got sick and her immune system was compromised so now instead of going opening weekends. We all watch the shows together on Wednesday’s and make an event out of when the movies come to Disney+. The MCU has become something we bond over and keeps three generations having something to make sure we all meet up and catch up with each other’s lives as we grow older.

Please read The Bible is truth. The problem most people have is in combining the personal reading with putting Jesus Christ’s lessons into practice in your own life. That’s why God stays at arm’s length. God only wants one mustard seed of faith, but it’s important to understand what that’s means. Most people assume they’ve already done enough. Tbh there’s secret spiritual milestones within our souls that correspond with points made in the Bible. As you personally read it, yes, it has to be personal reading, but as you do, God sends you information direct downloads to your brain essentially. It’s just that you need to be genuine and have an open heart to recognize them. The way you prove that is by forgiveness. To be forgiven we must forgive. Jesus Christ taught that in Mathew, but so few Christians ever read any of the Bible, most don’t even understand that it’s a mandatory requirement to getting into heaven. Seriously, it is mandatory. Our parents are the bare minimum here. You’ve got to look inside for the grievances you’ve built up with them and genuinely inside forgive them. That’s the key that triggers everything. If there’s love in your heart you forgive. Parents have generally raised fed loved us to some degree. They’re supposed to be the easiest to forgive. This relationship is so important to God, it shows so much to him. It’s why the devil tries to make people unwilling to forgive. He throws so much drama into this area to keep us from fulfilling this extremely important requirement. Please, trust me enough to see what I mean for yourself. Look inside and genuinely forgive them inside your heart. Once you do you’ll understand something important that shows you why Jesus Christ is correct. Afterwards, break down before Jesus Christ in prayer. Air out your drama, get it all out, break down your walls, be honest. Then ask for forgiveness. After these three steps reading the Bible changes. Read Genesis Mathew and one book you chose yourself at this point. You’ll understand what I’m talking about after you’ve done these four steps. There’s secret knowledge that can only be passed along as you genuinely do what Jesus Christ taught. These four steps are the streamlined path. See for yourself. All four steps can be done in a weekend. You’ve got an entire lifetime. Please give God that mustard seed of faith today. Seriously, these four steps are it. Please trust me. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life.

It was so crazy how going into it, you thought since you knew there would be a part 2, the entire first movie would just be setup. But they flipped it. So much action and so many different characters being juggled and just when you start thinking “what are the guardians doing?” It switches to the guardians. Absolutely unbelievable film. It’s crazy how something that seems straight out of a comic book worked so well, and the best part? The heroes lost. You felt the loss, you felt the avengers losing, I could go on and on but this film is absolutely unbelievable. And I’m glad you like it as well, pacing, comedy, action, emotion. All perfecto.
@meganmeehan15652 жыл бұрын
@@kyleshreve1826 Exactly! Too many things to like about it! Thor’s (fav male hero) entrance in Wakanda, dr strange’s fight with thanos, all the heroes on titan working together using their own talents, the action in NY in the beginning, the action with vision , Scarlett witch (fav female hero) & cap. Just perfect! And that’s just some of the action, never mind about the rest of the movie! I hope they can bring that essence back again in future movies, although I know it will never be replicated.

Oh, this was so wonderful to watch! Your enthusiasm is both heartwarming and infectious. I've been reading these comics since the '70s (Gen-Xer here), and have been so attached to the films. They are a source of multi-generational joy in my family. My list is strikingly similar to yours as well. Your insight into the emotional impact of these films and especially these much-loved characters is both cogent and heartfelt. Well done! And I can't believe that was 50 minutes - 'I could watch this all day.'

Thank you Coy! You’re closing remarks hits so close to home. The MCU has transported me back to 1983 when I bought my first Avengers comic book. I’m now 52 and with each new movie and TV show, I’m as excited as I was as a teenager when new issues of my fave comics hit the stands. Seeing Monica Rambeau on screen is such a highlight as she was my fave Avenger. Hearing “Avengers Assemble” on screen… tears! If they ever make a movie of the best Avengers storyline “Under Siege”, I think my brain will melt. While I appreciate your list, your reasoning is what makes this video the top of my own list. The phase four stuff has been some of my favorite. Shang-Chi with how it tackles a broken man, who becomes a broken father, and then ultimately does what’s right for his children coupled with the incredible action. Wandavision with its humanity and depth, Loki with the incredible lost throughout time mystery. Of course, Spider-Man No Way Home culminating decades of my life and also comic movie history in the best Spider-Man film I could’ve ever asked for. Finally getting Moon Knight on screen. But for me, my favorite Marvel project so far has to be Ms. Marvel. It presents issues and cultural ties that I as a white dude from the Midwest could’ve never understood, and it did so in such a beautiful and remarkable way while giving Kamala a considerable amount of conflict both in and outside of her own home. The way it wraps up and feels like one big happy family cannot be understated with how special that feels to the character’s origins, and it really makes me want to pick up some of the books and get to reading. Ms. Marvel was a fantastic show that managed to do so much table setting for the future of the MCU without feeling like a table setting at all. Bravo.

Damn Coy, even being a Philosophy major myself, you just changed how I perceived Loki. I also rank the series right inside the top 10, and you might've nailed it with your justification. I LOVE stories with a character being thrust into a different power level, social class, or hierarchy in the universe than they have ever been in, intentional or not, and trying to see them adjust to their newfound knowledge. Nightmare Alley, The Wolf of Wall Street, Westworld, Mean Girls, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Loki, just to name a few. The series showed something reversed and took a character that had the title of a 'God', and turned it into a question of, as you said, 'being human versus being outside of time'. It truly was a show about existential crisis to the highest degree. No other Disney+/Netflix Marvel show gripped me within the first episode more than Loki because it had a character I've known, and put them into a situation where the GREATEST power in the universe (to their knowledge) means jack shit when your outside of the restrictions of time. They took a God, humbled him with his hubris, and turned him human ultimately. Thank you for how much passion and insight you bring to your videos, well worth the 49 minutes brother!

I really don't understand when people say we missed something with Wanda between wandavision and MoM. It leads perfectly in. Wandavision shows her descent into actual villainy, and the final shot shows that she's all in to do whatever it takes to get her children. She's super powerful and completely snapped. MoM picks up right where they left off. It seems people who think we missed some character development either weren't paying attention or really wanted something else and are making excuses.
@ChrisInScotland2 жыл бұрын
The only thing to miss is The Darkhold. Based on wandavision it’s just a magic book Agatha had. Agents of Shield goes pretty in depth on how whoever reads it gets corrupted, by the time we get to MoM she’s already read it and turned evil, driven by the loss of her kids. Like how Aida was driven by the need to be human and robbie’s uncle was driven by the need to prove wrong the people who said he would be a failure in life.

It doesn't feel right. They way they ended WandaVision she showed remorse and regret for what she did to the people of West view and the whole point of the show was her overcoming her trauma and letting go of Vision. Even the after credits scene made it sound like she was going to try and get back her version of Billy and Tommy, not her trying to hijack another version of herself. I would put moon knight higher and eternals lower but otherwise I highly respect this list. Thanks Coy for bringing the comic book knowledge and bringing such a calm tone to your list making. In the age of heightened emotion around everything you are a breath of fresh air.

As someone who has watched Marvel shows since she was 4 years old, I felt what you were saying in your comments about No Way Home. I knew it hit me hard and I couldn't put the reason into words, but you did. Thank you so much for that. I now have a 2 year old daughter who is asking who Spiderman is when she sees my shirts/toys, and I hope that I can introduce these characters to her in a way that makes her feel like I did about them through the years. Great job Coy, we all appreciate you and the love you have for comics!

This is why I enjoy coy apart of this channel. Everyone’s gonna come for his throat for some of these things, but for me perosnally I agree with everything coy has said. Even on the ones that I don’t fully agree with, I agree with his arguments for every rank he gave these movies and tv shows. Good job coy!! Keep up the good work.
