This is by far the best video I have seen so far. People like me who are not technical but want this product do not have enough information to decide whether to buy it and the Comma Ai website does not have enough explanation. I can see it is good - I want it and have done for literally years, have just bought a car so I can get it - but no idea how to get my electric MG4 on the supported list. I can watch loads of videos of people sitting while they drive along - I need MORE information - like this video. What is the navigation feature, do I have to pay a subscription, can I use the MG4 data package to provide the wifi for navigation. How can I get my car supported, can I buy a unit, install it and configure it myself - happy to do so if it is possible. The Comma ai3 is awesome but I feel excluded because I am not technical, I need loads and loads of youtube videos to follow

I’ll get you some in detail videos showing good and bad. Because a lot show it working but not the little times it doesn’t lol. I may make a little compilation of the little times I gotta just nudge it to make some lol it’s so minor can’t wait till the low speed torque is available for us

I’d be interested in seeing the annoyances as well. Currently have a Nissan Leaf with ProPilot Assist, and although it works great, it acts stupid sometimes. Would be good to see the whole picture before dropping $2k on this unit.

Thank you for your video. This is an expensive unit, I assume you have to take it on and off when you park somewhere to avoid break-ins. Is that an issue, and how do you deal with it? Would that make it a deal breaker?

Which option enables stopping at stop signs and red lights? Have you tried this option? Also, will it make the car automatically go when the light is green or do you have to accelerate yourself?

I have a 2023 Bolt EV with no ACC. Will this work for me? That always steering mode sounds ideal and exactly like what I wanted. You didn’t showcase the SP Vehicles tab. Do you pick a car there so you don’t have to worry about fingerprints?

Stock it absolutely garbage no settings at all just drive and what you get is what you get. And the twilsonco has better bolt euv steering added

I just installed this version and all the settings you enabled on my comma 3 in my 23 EUV. It felt really... Awful. It drove as if it were riding the brakes, it slowed down too much for no reasons at all and when going around corners it would slow more than needed. I'm hoping after it sits it'll reset. But I will have to go back to the standard comma fork if not. Thanks for sharing this video!

Stock is drive and hope for best not one setting to mess with. You’ll like this been using this on a 2023 bolt ev and euv both base no premier and ran great on both

@@YahooNicaragua yes you need to have the premier or redline no super cruise if you want it to work as intended and no pedal or red mock just actual car stuff then yes premier is the trim to get has to have adaptive cruise control. And no no no supercruise

Does it warn/stop if pedestrians are detected? if not, does the stock system take over when the pedestrians are detected and act accordingly?

I think normal No mads it does still keep the emergency braking but if I’m not mistaken I think in mads it disables that so without mads it will don’t quote me but I’m pretty sure this is how it is or it’s experimental that disables it. But someone was walking on side of road and it went around them so it saw them how much that happens not sure as I’m in mads and control the acceleration myself when I’m where pedestrians would be.

Few weeks ago went back to twilsonco branch does the best with the euv. And the taco half ass followed the gps so I switched back wasn’t much different then it is now passed turned with signal on and gps saying to turn so waste of money buying connect in my opinion at least for now. Just doesn’t make sense to spend money monthly for gps that your phone has free in many forms lol

Do I need panda to run this fork on my Bolt EUV? I installed it and ran through the opening tour (where you click pics) but then it just brings me to the home screen and shows I am online, my temp is good, but it says no panda... The reason I ask if I need a Panda, is because it does not start working when I set my cruise, and it never even asked me to do calibration after the tour like generic openpilot does...

Yeah panda is needed that’s why it says no panda. It’s a for sure need it part that connects to the factory harness. Now I know I can disconnect the comma power and it still works but the panda is the brains that’s talk between the car and device

@@michaelpowell2793 Ok, can you elaborate on this more? The reason is that I can run vanilla openpilot and it does work to steer my car, without a panda, so I am a bit confused about what other things the Panda provides? Also, which Panda does the 2023 Bolt EUV need?

@@michaelpowell2793 So I found out that you don't need a Panda because Panda is built in with the Comma 3. The issue was when I installed the fork, I had my car on and that messes with it installing the Panda.
