Ferrets are so cute, and I'm very aware of the fact that in my brain they're in the same categories as babies: fun to look at and hold and spend time with, and maybe even fun to look after for a few days, but certainly not something I want for myself.

That diagnosis about hibernation sounds perfectly logical. I am no snake owner but I watched so many videos of you amazing people that have reptiles and I've learned SO MUCH about SO MANY reptiles. I agree 100% about her need to hibernate.

Breeders usually stop hibernating elder snakes. Emily (Snake Discovery) has some videos on hibernation. Emily & Ed are very knowledgeable, check them out.

Imma correct you really quick. It's brumation. As snakes are not mammals, they don't have the ability to hibernate. As similar as they are, it's completely different.

May I ask, what is reborning hair??? Sounds like you're having the same problems I'm currently having. My hair is so thick and wavy I can't manage it at all. And throwing it up is a bun is causing so many more tangles and mattes than its worth.

I have insanely thick hair too. Got an undercut about a half year ago, and best thing I've ever done for my hair. (Although my hair is not curly, it has just the slightest wave. I tried the curly girl method to see if I could get it to look like anything, and even then the waves were so slight that I've decided to just straighten my hair via blow dryer and round brush.)

I would be careful. I don’t think you not hibernating her is an issue. A lot of breeders stop hibernating their snakes when they retire from breeding to avoid the death of an elderly snake. I’m no expert but that is my understanding. Thought you’d like to know. Perhaps ask Snake Discovery? Emily stops hibernating her elderly snakes. Maybe she could tell you if that’s ever happened to one of her snakes before??

There are multiple Tokay Geckos around my neighborhood in South Florida. Around mid morning and sunset is when I can hear their calls/barking. Im amazed at how loud they can get. 🦎

Thank you for thoroughly explaining your thought process (especially with zombie) most animal creators just show off their animals, but you give backstory and so much informed explanation that keeps me and i’m sure others entertained. I never really thought of snakes hibernating myself. From what i’ve seen on your channel you’ve taken excellent care of zombie (as well as all of your other animals of course!) i know guilt is a natural feeling when something is off with a beloved pet, but as someone observing through videos it’s clear how much you care for her. I'm in a psychiatric unit as of late, and another patient gifted me some beautiful Madagascan hissing cockroaches. I've now got 2 invert tanks (one with a divider for males, and one for females). I've got 6 females, 2 males, and 7 babies! I absolutely love them! I watched your video on them recently and I absolutely agree. Lovely things!

Love your Tokay geckos, I'm from the Philippines and they're endemic to my country but mostly found around the provinces in rural areas, not really in cities. I kept two as pets when I was a kid, they were definitely more display pets 😂 Over here we call them 'tuko'

My first snake is a ball python (A beautiful male lesser banana named Casper) but I did research before getting one. I live in FL and built a bioactive enclosure for him (and I just recently upgraded him from a 40gal glass tank to a Zen Habitat enclosure), so it's been easy keeping the heat and humidity levels correct. I also have a 1yr old Kenyan sand boa. I have a harder time feeding her than the ball python! The most important thing I've learned in regards to food strikes is to not panic. So long as they are maintaining their weight, the conditions are right, and they look and act normal, do not stress out. I'd LOVE to have a tokay gecko as they are beautiful and I love their feisty personalities, but I currently live in an apartment and I'd like to raise one from a baby. If I end up with a male, I might have trouble with the neighbors when he starts calling at night XD I used to have ferrets. They are allowed where I live, but I think it's best to have my own place, preferably one without carpet flooring, before getting more. I had one ferret that loved to dig up carpet. I also do not want to support Marshalls Ferrets, so I'll likely adopt from a shelter. I've known coworkers who adopt ferrets on a whim and regret it because they didn't do their research beforehand.

Aww that’s sweet! Well first of all, be sure to check your local laws to make sure you’re allowed to keep :) if not, a rehabber will take them. Give your blackbird lots of space to spread its wings and get its endurance up. Have lots of perches of different diameters, as this will help strengthen his/her toes, feet and grip!

My first snake was a ball python, and my goodness is he a brat! I love him to death but he's too sassy for his own good. He came from a PetSmart, living three years stunted in growth living off pinkies. It's crazy, he's 6 now full grown and thriving. He's still got the sass that he's always had since the beginning but he's utterly chill once held. He's practically my emotional support snake because of how relaxed he is. He's a banana cinnamon ball python, these guy's can be for beginners but I think you'll need to research a lot more than you think. The perfect humidity is such a pain,,

I absolutely love Tokays even though I would never own one myself probably. We had them at the rescue and they are definitely very interesting and cute little creatures. Definitely also the most aggressive geckos we ever had and they are basically Pokèmon with the sounds they make. We had a whole bunch of day geckos, leopard geckos and some others but yeah none of them ever tried to bite or scratch. They were skittish especially the day geckos but not like a tokay.

I've had my first pet snake (a ball python) for a year now and she was NOT easy to feed at first. I was super stressed, and we had to force-feed her for quite some time. Eventually, I found a way to get her to take the food and I'm SO GLAD because now I love her so much. But yeah... maybe not everyone's taste for "The best first reptile pet".

@@Emzotic I know I cant wait the reason i have to wait is because i need to get a job and save up also I'm building a summerhouse that I'm gonna move into and make me and my ferrets room is 10x8 good for ferrets they of course will be raw fed and fully free roam thank you I'm soo happy to get cute dopey ferrets and your the reason why i got my 2 year old leopard gecko called honey i love her also im gonna call my ferrets dobby and niffler after yours if i can
