I'm struggling to see the point of this though. The hatch opening only looks huge, but the sloping glass means that you can't put anything tall in it. So the real world cargo room isn't that much better than the sedan. Fold the seats down and try to move a bookcase. You have a better chance of that happening in a real hatchback like an Impreza or a Forte5

Good luck with the fake exhaust. At least fake vents can be swapped to real ones. Overstyling is a Japanese thing. 10th gen looks like 80s anime robots such as Patlabor and Gundam. 10th gen stands out. 11th gen blends in.

If they're gonna chop the length, they could've at least made it into a shootingbrake for more practicality and make it a real "hatchback". This is a fastback like the Stinger and Arteon

shootin brake😙
@cpMetis3 жыл бұрын
They did exactly what I wanted them to do and didn't think they'd have the guts to do. Cut the length to be an actual subcompact car and go back to the fastbacks like the Integras of yesteryear. If you're filling up the back to the point you can't see out the rear windows, you need a truck. Fastbacks give you the ease of access of hatchbacks without sacrificing visibility and style.
@BeeJ873 жыл бұрын

While every car companies, especially Hyundai, are redesigning their vehicle to be more futuristic with curves and angles (take a look at the current Elantra), the Honda design team is reverting back to the boxy/boring (that they got criticized for several years ago) in 2022. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of modern technologies incorporated into these new Civics. But one initial glance at this design can make you move on to the next vehicle. One might very well purchase this because of the good old Honda reliability. But for the look alone, not sure. I'd be scared to see what the next redesigned Accord looks like....just my opinion.

When my son and I were looking to trade our Mazda 3's, we returned to the Civic because Mazda 3 switched the rear suspension to Torsion Bar and dropped Independent Rear Suspension (say whaaaa?). The Gen Xl design came out and we bought 2 new 2020 Civics (Hatch Sport & Coupe EX). We both found the front of the Civic Gen XI to be a clone of the Accord and the rear to be a Passat/Jetta knock off. In essence, to us, it is totally devoid of personality and downright BORING.
