I just purchased a 2024 Honda Civic Sport Touring in a manual transmission, and I absolutely love it!!! It drives amazingly and I am so glad that they offer the highest trim in the manual transmission. It was a very tough decision between the Mazda 3 premium hatchback with the manual, however, with the tech, all of the luxuries (turbo, parking sensors, better-looking wheels, and the size, are what really sold me. The back seat in the Mazda was very small even for shorter people. I love the amount of space this vehicle offers, not only the back seat, but the hatch as well is really good. This is the bread and butter of what a sporty sedan hatchback should be. No regrets!!

The lease was to be for 10k/year for 3 years, just start up fees at inception. With money factor of .00150, the monthly payment would have been $488/month and would not budge on anything. I think the honda marketing has made everyone forget that a mid trim civic costs as much as a base accord, or the top trim civic, costs as much as the mid trim accord. Think about it. The CIVIC starts at 22k. The Accord starts at 25k. That is only a 3k difference and if you are making payments anyway, that is only 50$ more a month at 5% interest. The moment you chose to go for the 1.5t engine (not the base 2.0) you are paying way over 25k. At this point, a camry se goes for 27k and the accord sport around the same, both of which are quicker, have better transmissions, etc. And if you want to go for the top trim civic it costs 30k, which costs as much as a base 2.0t accord sport at around 31k. Why would you buy a top trim civic over a 2.0 accord? No idea, idiots will be idiots. For comparison, the camry is a better buy at every price point, its about the same size interior wise, but it is wider, has an 8 speed over a CVT, and has more standard options. And the accord being only a few thousand more, is the better value than both, PERIOD. What honda doesn't want you to know is that when you buy the civic they make more money per vehicle. Similar price, less car. Think about it, THEY WANT YOU to buy the civic over the accord, because the accord/camry is the better value in every single way except one. You can buy the civic with a manual. That is about the ONLY bonus, sure, you can get a hatch too...but realistically, the enormous trunk in my Camry fits literally everything, including 10 4"x4" beams like it was nothing, and the accord is 2.5cuft bigger trunk wise. So is the civic a good car? Sure, if it cost as much as the older civics, aka, sub 20k. Otherwise, this overlaps way too much with the accord and camry for me to care. Your arguments? Its more fun to drive. Right...A car that has a cheaper chassis, cheaper suspension, narrower wheels, and has next to no power in the base engine and a detuned version of the accord base engine at the top? Okay guys. Ill take the 2.0t accord. The corolla is still the best value compact sedan, it starts at 20k, and usually is sold for far less than that.

I feel like they target all options and pricing towards mazda3 hatchback, such as only offering manual on top trim level with mid powered engine, the hp and torque numbers, etc. This 1.5t is definitely competitor of 2.5na of mazda, not turbo. Can't believe you don't know mazda still has manual on 3. Mazda has more premium feel of interior.

@@andersonrodriguez8258 I think the oild dilution issue has been addressed. There was a recently introduced oil called GF6 that ended up mitigating this issue and I think that this is partially why the revised 1.5t has exhaust VTEC

Because of Keeps I also got rashes all over my body and I suffered constant itching all over for a constant for a couple of weeks- pure torture!!. Needless to say, I had to cancel the rest of my payments. Although I really should have gotten my money back. Beware of Keeps if you decide to buy it!

@@alvinsimba734 Yup I agree. it is a an awful lot considering the level of performance between those 2 cars in particular. Currently I pay about $450/mnth for my '19 Si for 4 years. Spent about $850CDN for the Ktuner and TSP tune which has increased power by about 25hp but close to 70ftlbs more torque so basically makes what the Accord 2.0T motor made. I'll be happy with that for another 2 years but after that I'll be bored of it and will want something else. I put very little mileage on my cars and do get tired of them quite quickly (I'm normally able to get out of them at no additional cost after 3 years - so long as I stay with Honda) so thats primarily why I lease. I'm also a bit of a clean freak so my cars are always immaculate and not living in Toronto I don't have to worry about door dings or body damage nearly as much as folks who live in bigger cities.

I think at 13:18, elapsed time, the engine is not a 'downgrade' as the video creator says. Maybe on horsepower output and torque, but the reliability and durability is better in the 2 liter (K20C2) with port injection over the smaller 1.5 turbo direct-injected (L15B7). That smaller engine has allowed fuel past the piston oil rings into the oil (crank case) and reduces the oil viscosity making it less beneficial to the engine lubricity. Sure 158 hp versus 180 is less, but I would prefer the larger engine for the life of the car over the 1.5 liter. One more thing: CVT's are the 'Androids' of transmissions. They are to be frowned up. If a driver didn't learn how to drive 'stick', their parents didn't love them enough. jk.

Yeah, well this isn't your grandpappy's Civic. It's loaded with refinement and tech. Adaptive cruise on a Civic and wireless charging, heated steering wheel and rear seats (in Canada). It's a few levels above the basic econobox that it used to be. It's also the size of an old Accord now.

Is LED board mad expensive to replace headlight nd tailights thousands of dollars
@6mtzhp553 жыл бұрын
There must be some odd reason for it, because much more expensive cars do this. Like I had an E46 BMW, a 2004, and it had LED brake lights and turn signals. Today they're using incandescent for signals in most models. LEDs make drivers behind you process the signal better (scientific studies say it's the instant-on flash) so seems like a safety downgrade.

Within the first month of ownership the entire engine cover came off on the freeway. Then another piece came off 1 month later. Both fixed at dealership on separate occasions. The air flow lighting has never worked or lit up. I thought that was just the way it was. I was wrong. Taking that to get fixed. Dashboard makes cracking noises when going over bumps. Electric seats make creaking noises when moving. Audio cuts in and out constantly and navigation screen gets blurry and freezes. Averaging 27mpg constantly no matter how I drive. I just don’t understand what’s going on. I have a 2003 Honda Civic with 400,000 miles. I’ve never had issues with that car like this 2022 touring. Want records?? I have it..
