This feels like a kick in the teeth for every day Harley riders. A big bluster over yet more crazily overpriced increasingly out of reach toys for the rich. Once upon a time, Harley knew how to engage new blood and encourage new riders into the fold, with a range of attractive, fun, customisable Sportster models, and made in the USA step up models like dynas and softails. Sadly the reliance on a shrinking demographic of people with enough spare cash to buy these big tourers is going to end in the demise of the Mo Co. The current two model “Sport” category is doing nothing but handing the baton on to the competition. As for the softails, why would I pay the best part of £20k for a Harley built in Thailand? It no wonder our local Indian Triumph and Royal Enfield dealers are doing so well whilst our closest Harley dealer is closing down. Time for a rethink Harley-Davidson, you’ve lost the plot!

Also, whilst the new large digital screen is obviously quite impressive, I still like the nostalgic feel of the round dials. What would have been ideal for me would have been to see a slight increase in size of the current digital screen, whilst still keeping the old 4 analogue dials. But I guess I’m just an old bugger set in my ways.

They are listening to people. That's why they're doing this. Not everyone thinks like you, infact the majority doesnt think like you. That's why they dont do what you want them too. No one ever promised a smaller engine PanAm. Bronx wont be there because their market research shows it wont compete well in the space its designed for. You have no idea if the bronx will sell like hotcakes. If there's anything HD has learned over these years, is that making bikes to sell to complainers doesnt work because complainers just want to complain and wont actually buy these bikes they say they will. They've tried this a half a dozen times in the past decade and it never works. So pray tell why would you keep doing something that doesnt work? Road Glides, Street Glides, PanAms and LRSTs sell thats why they keep making them.
@bridgettemcconnell903411 ай бұрын
@FranBunnyFFXII For the smaller Panam, there were already leaks about it. That's why I brought it up. Using the smaller revolution max 975 engine. I like the cruisers. No one says stop making them. But if you want to stay relevant and attract more people, then you need to go for it. It's not just me wanting the Bronx. The amount of youtube videos, comments on videos, and chatter about it shows people do want it. No one says forget the heritage bikes. Keep making them. Just offer some fresh stuff. That is why I love they made the PanAm to start with. I live they went liquid cooled on the new sporsters. They can make fantastic bikes. Just make some more and appeal to others and keep this brand going.
@btsadventures431011 ай бұрын
Lmao. This IS the new era. Hate to break it to you but HD is about baggers and soft tails FIRST. Why? Because that’s what the people want, that’s what sells. I’m just glad they finally lowered the price of the street glide and road glide with all the new upgrades. We all know though, as soon as dealerships get their hands on them, they’re not gonna be selling for MSRP, and they have astronomical markup on the bikes. I just wish the 117 was VVT also.

Good job Harley! The future looks exciting! I like how they keep the classic vibe from Harley as we know it (with the line of touring bikes) and still are able to make them contemporary and modern, certainly an appeal to the younger and newer generation of riders. The new CVOs STs are game-changer with the new performance oriented features! I used to only like black as single-color bikes but the white CVO ST looks great!

Yes at this rate within the next 10 years HD will have actually put LED lights on all their bikes and most bikes will have finally got updated suspension. Lets get real here. HD did create anything new here. They are just trying to play catch up with everyone else and while they do so a little they are still behind. But maybe someday all the bikes will premium parts to go alone with that premium price.

Most of what I was hoping for with this year’s models turned out to be what was done. I wanted the new fairings to make their way down to the “regular” bikes. These fairings are a work of art and the infotainment center is light years ahead of what we’ve had for over 5 years. The lines on the body look great. The bigger displacement and more power is what we’ve wanted. The CVO Road Glide ST looks like it will be a phenomenal bike. The CVO Pan America was a great surprise. The Pan America itself is the best value with the most to offer. Then, the CVO version takes it to a whole new level. I already know one guy who wants to buy one of those.

VERY impressive!! Love it!! More power, more tech, it's time for an upgrade.

On Saturday, 1/27 I'm happy to report I made the upgrade I mentioned 4 days ago. I purchased the 2024 Road Glide CVO in Legendary Orange from Levi at Suburban Harley Davidson just outside of Milwaukee. I couldn't believe Suburban HD had one on their floor and I found it!!! I'm taking delivery Monday morning. It's stunning and bad A$$!!! While I see criticism here and there on KZbin, I can tell everyone that I love my 2015 Ultra Limited, I love the little Iron 883 I bought last year for my wife and daughter to learn on, and I'm sure I'm going to love my first CVO. God Bless America, I can't wait for spring!!

Blowby still is on the 23 models?? Is the issue fixed in all M8's??

From what I see, my favorite bikes (RG ST/SG ST), that were already too expensive but reachable, are replaced with something more expensive that the majority of the audience will never be able to afford new. Excited for HD to release new bikes but this years releases took something expensive but reachable and made them impossible. ST's were $30k new plus all the fees that come with a new bike. Now that price is $43k plus fees???
@nevillemccarter24211 ай бұрын
I managed to pick up a brand new 2022 SG ST last year, just as the new 2023 models were with quite a decent bit of discount, just as the 2023s were hitting the showrooms. So glad I did as the new fairing doesn’t really do it for me. Yes, I’ll admit that the new DRLs are quite impressive, but to me it seems to have lost something?

50k out the door
@mkthebearded11 ай бұрын
@@fabiors10 and possibly more depending on the specific dealer fees. I don't deal with the closest dealer to me because a new bike isn't leaving with less than 10k added to the MSRP. It's insane.

These was showing a CVO ST. I haven’t checked the site but I’m sure the other STs are still there and probably cheaper than last year
@mkthebearded11 ай бұрын
@@gagehowell3566 This was showing all the new bike releases for 24. And anything returning was already updated on their site like last week. However there are no regular STs, unless they decide to release mid year. The only Grand American tourers both on the website and in all the leaked pamphlets over the last week show RK Special, SG, RG, RG Limited, Ultra Limited, CVO SG, CVO RG and CVO RG ST.

@@MrMarkhall1 Harley has lost the plot. I have owned several Harleys. I love bobbers. And I loved the Dyna The 2023 street bob is the first Softail I have ever owned. Fine . Then I tried to get a different Solo seat . Not many options. Then I ask for highway pegs . Not an option. DEI doesn't help. They seem to be trying to Carter to rich fat people in baggers or guys that think they are in Sons of anarchy. They are also out pricing themselves. I will customize my own highway pegs. And other stuff. My next bobber will be an Indian. They seem to want more hardcore riders that don't need reverse and ac . 😂
