@@elliotfong4282 I'm in the same boat. Narrowed it down to those two (Falken Wildpeak Trail & BFG Trail Terrain) for my new wheels and can't decide. I even made a spreadsheet to weigh my options. Cheaper tire cost than BFGs. Longer mileage warranty than BFGs. Higher speed rating than BFGs. From the other evidence I've gathered (not conclusive though) they are even slightly quieter than BFGs. The only reason I still hesitate is Costco currently has a $110 off sale for BFGoodrich through February which would bring total cost almost $100 under the best deal I could find for Falkens after installation. These are a great replacement for a set of BFG Rugged Terrain TA's I ran years ago. Pro's: - Great traction in the snow. Never needed 4WD all winter. Only used it to keep the diff in shape. - Confident in the rain at any speed (in my Pro T4R). - Quiet in the summer. Haven't had them off-road, yet. UPDATE 11/28/2023 - took them to a mild offroad course and they do just fine in the dirt and sand and better than my Toyo Open Country R/T's. Cons: - Flat spots all year round that you have to drive out. Even in the summertime I still get flat spots (overnight). - UPDATE 11/28/2023 - I have 52,000 miles on mine and they still look brand new, but starting to hum a litle bit down the highway. Can still have a conversation in the vehicle without having to raise my voice. My brother went with a set of Toyo Open Country AT3's. I do not like those. The sipes only go halfway down the tread. The sipes on the Trail Terrain's go all the way down to the bottom of the tread. Big plus right there!

A great video, really comprehensive and objective. I put a set of these on 2020 RAV 4 Hybrid AWD and on dry tarmac, they are great - everyting that you have reported here. With just over 10,000 kms completed, I can say that the one really dissappointing thing that I have found is their performance on wet tarmac. They understeer horribly in turns. Perhaps it is because of the tarmac/hot mix that we have here in Australia, but as soon as it rains, you need to take off a heap speed in turns and in round-a-bouts and turn in really slowly and gently because the car just pushes across the apex of the turn and runs wide every time. Wear has been admirable, but I will be shifting to something else when these are worn; possibly Pirelli Scorpion or Dunlop Grand Trek.

BFG KO2’ roar on my daughter’s Crosstrek. So loud it’s irritating. I’d jump on these if it was a significant difference but I may have to jump to 225/70/15 on the methods

Edit: above post on tire size available is wrong. Also, noisy tires are relative to the car manufacturer sound deadening….or the 2019 crosstrek lack there of.

@@stevenlord6120 "also noisy tires are relative to the car manufacturer sound deadening.... or the 2019 Crosstrek lack there of" you're an idiot. regardless of the individual cars ability to deaden noise a tire that rates 10/10 on the noise scale is still going to be massively louder even if your car has good deadening. That's like saying getting shot by a 45 cal will make a different sized hole because one man is bigger than the other. Aint gonna change the fact the K02s are louder than a semi truck even if you can deaden some of it with your particular car. If you have a car that deadens sound better than average, then the non K02s are REALLY gonna drive like a quiet cloud

Would the Trail Terrains be good for the new Ford Maverick? They have the 4k towing package, but probably wouldn't be doing that very often at all.

Will the 285 45 22 size of this tire work for a 2018 Yukon Xl ? I'm hearing mixed opinions on this. Comparing the specs to the stock Bridgestone Dueler h/l alenzas seems better? This would be a great tire for our needs just want to be sure it's safe to use.

I'm looking to replace my Nitto TG G2s with these. The Nittos are garbage on wet pavement, or even that little bit of gravel that gathers in an intersection. I drive a stock 5.0 F-150, and barely tapping the accelerator will send them spinning. Never had a pair of tires like this.

Tough! The Wildpeak's are definitely proven to work well in the snow and ice! However the BFG's are a incredibly popular tire that a lot people run on their setups! I would almost lean more to the Falkens!

I have the weather ready’s on my pilot. Very good in the snow. I would do the Michelin’s cross climate 2 on the odyssey unless you go off highway. The wear on the weather ready’s has been so so. I take my pilot off road and they have been surprisingly good. Just looking for more aggressive tread pattern. Hence while I am here. I am in the car business and see all kinds of tires on vehicles. The Toyo Celsius have been recommended to me by a number of my customers as well. Good luck on your choice.

They are really nice in the snow, dirt roads, and the very occasional "off roading" i do with the car... they absolutely suck on Ice though. I have about 40,000 miles on them in the last 2 years (installed summer of 21) with my 6 cyl AWD Charger (daily driver in Alaska). They are very nice on Dry and wet Roads, quiet, handle well. I dont believe i will get them again, i am most likely going to get a new set of wheels (18" instead of the factory 19") and get a set of AT/KOs for the car, they seem to do better on the Ice. If i am unable to get the AT/KOs for the car, i will get the Trail Terrain again.

Thanks for this video. Im having a difficult time deciding between these tires or Falken WP A/T 3W for my XTerra. My current tires are BFG Radial Long Trail T/A. I live in Vegas, so our climate is pretty much dry. I do about 90% on road and 10% gravel when I drive to trails for mountain biking and camping. Is the Falken too much of a tire for my use? I do love the more aggressive style on the Falkens. Thanks alot

The Falkens are a personal favorite for me, however, I see your point of wondering if it is too much tire for your setup! I think the Trail Terrain tires would work perfect for what you would be using them for!
