There was also a security guard in Black Mesa who helped you get through the hanger guarded by the HECU. He was excited for the "successful" escape. However, right after he opened the door in the control room for you, an alien grunt appeared and literally beat him to death. The door was shutting down at the same time so you were forced to hear his painful moaning until nothing came out eventually.

That's one of the saddest ones. Right before his death, the dude was so happy he made that far and was still alive, only to die so suddenly and brutally and there's nothing you can do for him :( I fealt really sad for him
