The dream sequences in Final Fantasy 8 Remastered can sometimes be a tad confusing! Anyway, in today's guide we work through the second sequence as I show you how to unlock all of the secrets for later on.

rafael molina Lemme an ff8 fanatic explain: The monster lv matches your growth. So lv 10 has lv 10 monster. 50 matches 50 and so on. With normal monster, this isn’t the case butt... the bosses are another thing. With the exception of one particular boss, all bosses will mess you up badly (as intended). So keep your lv low, farm for AP and a f*ck tons of high lv mag will turn (cheese) the game into ez mode.

Damn right. Laguna is one of my favorite characters in the franchise. He frankly should’ve been the protagonist instead of Squall, but, at least we got him as an enigmatic secondary protagonist. Also, by the way, Zidane is my favorite protagonist in the franchise, so, we share tastes. I see you are a person of culture as well.

old video, So I has been do farming in that 2nd dream. I farmed black holes, ultima weapon cards and iguion cards. I go slow and avoid lvling up. I wouldn't add Diablo's Mug for Gesper. About lvl 21, Kiros is the best solo against Gespers for farm Black Holes and Iguion Cards at Save Point area before finish dream. Kiros' Solo is that u don't need Ward and Laguna alive. After stocked spells, u can put them stay dead for prevent Gesper casting Degenerator on Kiros. Why Kiros? It's Speed, Limit Break, and weak phy atk. Best junction for Kiros is to go with GF Siren and Quezacotl. Also NO J-Str! however if u want then use low spells and adjust for avoid killed Gespers. Make sure max out J-Vit too by strong spell. Now add Sleep to ST-Atk, Confuse and Berserk to 2xST-Def, and of course Card for ability. How to get Confuse spell that earlier, answer is before go 2nd dream, Ochu is in the huge forest near Timber or around Lake and also must be lvl 20-22. Wendigo is in that forest too for Berserk at any LvL. Why farm Black Holes? because Demi spell is rarely to find from any mobs after GF Diablo, and so I can use Time RF and card mod. I just love Demi before cast Card on Red Bats in the sewer at Deling City after 2nd Dream. Ultima Weapon Cards found by Elastoids in the other room, at save point then go left to next area and then down to right into next area. That room with catwalk is where u battle Elastoids and don't need Kiros' Solo. Also u can farm Steel Pipes from them by card mod and mug Dynamo Stones. However I wouldn't go over lvl 30 for get Laser Cannon and other mob have it after dream. Elastoids is only battle in that area of Dream and in Lunatic Pandora. They're RARE imo. Good Luck!

You can also turn the laser cannons into pulse ammo to save time on card grinding for the lionheart

The game doesn't let me tamper with the Right Hatch though, been running between them for like the last 3 hours, can't do the Left or Right ones, only the Middle.

The boulders that were blown up and the boulder with the cure draw point was not added as part of the remaster version on PS4. I can say this with 100% certainty as I have the FFVIII strategy guide from 1997-98 by David Cassady.

Most secrets here you had to find out on the go in the original. The Junction part wrecked me the first time as Quistis was left out. If you did not take training or grinding serious up to this point this is the first real area where that can bite you in the ass. At least for the role that Quistis takes as enemies here are quite strong and tricky like the Gesper. I always train her up during the Fire Cavern mission to give Ifrit and her a little extra Oomph since you want the Strenght Bonus Ability Ifrit has as soon as possible. I must compliment on the mention of the Meltdown spell wich i always draw 100 units for each character. You want it trust me. But i digress. The one i always check online videos for or my very old Guide that does not have bupkiss on this secret is the 3 hatches. Doing that right nets you one of the few Power Generators in the game. It teaches Quistis her most powerfull blue magic which you want. If not to use it at least for a completionist sake. I failed this once realizing that much later in the game and trust me getting one at that point is extremely hard when all you have to do is pick it up later. Assuming you did the hatches right. If i may i want to add one more little secret concerning the Gesper enemy. Mug Black holes from it. Or make sure you get it after battle as a reward. This teaches Quistis the Degenator blue magic. Wich can knock a enemy straight out if succesfull. Anyway great video and a like for you. And don't rely on the cheats to much people. These were not even in the original game. But can come in handy when your training and want to travel in or out a area safely. I never even use the other 2 as i am playing on a Ps4.

Pretty sure u can put anyone in ur party before this dream sequence so a weak Quistis wouldn't matter

The Dream Sequence is fixed. As 3 very specific characters are knocked out. But yes you can beforehand and train up if you wish if Quistis is still a little low or not synced with a certain GF of your choosing. But she will do fine around level 20. It is just that the dream sequence can be a litle challenging. But nothing is preventing you to buff characters up before going into it. But the Characters in the Dream Sequence are always Squall,Selphie and Quistis.

It's not necessary but since it's usually recommended to get as little experience as possible in FF8 due to the fact that most to all enemies scale to your level (alongside perhaps a few other things, not sure on the full scale of it)

Yeah, I followed one of the guide, which only said to open the middle hatchet at the time. Then in disc 3 that guide was like "you can only get all the items if all 3 hatchet were opened" and I was like WTF.

FYI I think they had to remake this entire game from the ground up cuz the original code was lost from the ps1

SE hired a third-party vendor to remaster the game. For a fee (I think a cut of the sales), the vendor uses a proprietary AIML tool that automatically upscales the game software. Finally, they bug test the game before release and deal with any major issues. Of course, the major remaining issues are listed on the App Store pages regarding those versions.

Something I just figger it out. In this dream world we are in some kind of cave right? But its kinda strange when Zell and the other party members will go into the lunatic pandora to get the same area? Does this mean Laguna and Co where in the lunatic pandora?? If so how can we explain a few things here like the huge cliff and water at the end of the dream world? And lunatic pandora elevators never been seen.. I know its something from the past with Laguna and Co but does this means that the lunatic pandora didnt excist at that time? And what we see here is a build up aka creation of the lunatic pandora??? Can this be explained??

My understanding is that the Lunatic Pandora was being excavated by the Esther soldiers. There is a lot of construction equipment about, because they were digging it out of the ground. That's what I took it as anyway, maybe the FF Wiki can explain more/better :)
