Kodo millet , also known as the Himalayan millet is pinkish red in colour .
Also known as AARKA in Kannada and ARIKALU in Telugu ,this positive millet , has 9 % fiber.
Its very easy to grow ,even in dry lands , and needs just 200 to 300 liters of water per kg.
The crop duration is 120 days .
