Just a quick tip for anyone interested if you're going to be doing manual mining : There is a pickaxe, cant remember what its called, in Evilcraft that has fortune 5 on it but a curse as well. You can make a purifier and then put 3 buckets of blood and the pickaxe as well as a "Blook" (blood book) to extract one of the enchantments. By making the pickaxe and repeating the process you can easily get fortune 8 or above before even finding diamonds.

you can also just drop an anvil on the pickaxe and some books to get enchanted books

Silent gear tip: look up signalum and enderium. Two of the best early game materials you can get and it only costs a few copper redstone silver for signalum and lead platinum ender pearls for enderium. With enderium you can even mine allthemodium before getting netherite. As a bonus tip (if it's the same as ATM9) before you get these materials you can repair diamond tier gear with obsidian.

Quick tip; you can craft an ore hammer with 2 blocks and sticks and it turns 1 ore into 2 dust effectively doubling your resources when smelted into 2 ingots

Silent gear tip: For my fellow stat nerds out here, doing the command "/sgear_mats dump" will provide you a file you can import into excel. It gives you a table that you can easily sort and filter on all the materials that can be used and their stats/side effects/drawbacks/... . Example use case: You wanna build a pickaxe head for the fastest pickaxe: filter on "Type" column with "main", sort on column "Harvest Speed"

Silent gear is cool, but it just seems like a worse Tinkers Construct. Chosen mentioned it was similar, just that it didn't have the forge. The forge part was what made Tinkers so much fun.

As a note for early storage and the book worm. 1- You can get Netherquartz from the village building that has smooth Quartz blocks and Quartz Blocks. You get the netherquartz from using a pickaxe and the cutting board and the quartz blocks. Smooth can be converted using the stonecutters table to straight quartz blocks which can then be processed on the cutting board. If you don't have that then you can just use a Chisel to convert the smooth back into quartz blocks. 2-Each bookworm is limited to 8 connections, but, if you use sophisticated storage barrels you can use a Storage Controller (takes 2x quartz, which you get from 1) and then you can link through that so each controller counts as one storage link. Very efficient.

Hammer based doubling is sorta worth it early game but you can get infinite ore production so easily in this pack that it is basically only meaningful for your first ATM ores. I set up a Just Dire Things paradox machine for fast infinite ores which was a surprisingly late game option for doing so. Easy Villagers can give you infinite iron and emeralds and a boon of the earth enchantment with a breaker and stone placer of some sort can get everything else easily. The ultimate solutions for ore production are mystical ag and bees.

Little tip for the mimic chests: They might show on the map or you can see a slight offset before they attack

Cave creeper’s can indeed be exploited w/ apoth spawners. The ancient knights from irons spells can be as well. Never have to worry about diamonds, gold, iron, emeralds and netherite ever again lol.

Forbidden and Arcanus is an excellent magic mod. Especially with it's Eternal Stella's making things stop taking durability damage. Discovered that during Create: Arcane Engineering.

Silent Gear seems like an expansion upon Tinkers' Construct, or rather its tool system. I do love the smeltery when playing skyfactory though. Last time I played, I made a mob farm just to make a gigantic amount of blood slime lol

For the axe would have gone for obsidian. It is by far the best for durability. Early game obsidian pickaxe is also a good idea cause it has a huge amount of durability. And can use tips to make it break harder blocks.

if you put a smoker upgrade in that emerald furnace and a generator upgrade and a fuel efficiency upgrade you get one of the most ridiculous early game power sources in the game because the tick rate of an emerald furnace directly translated into burning the fuel faster, so you can offset the speed loss from the fuel efficiency and get a few hundred thousand RF from a piece of bread

Get silk touch grab a spawner and a mob swap use it on cave creeper then get its spawnegg in the spawner that gives infinite stone, gunpowder, gold, iron, diamond and emerald as well and it is not that hard to get running in the early game

I have the same issues with silent.. for Tinker's you used to have google sheets basically summarizing what's good and what's not. Similar with the in game manual.. this is mainly missing in silent.. that's basically why I rarely use silent

I’m considering a modular router approach with the sender module mk3 which can send things cross dimensional. So ranged pump in nether, have router click bucket on pump or tank, send to router in overworld, send to pedestal for volcanic source links. Testing it out now! Limited by 1 bucket per second though so we shall see

I still dont understand why they dont have the allthemodium ore for silent gear, because then it restricts silent gear to be more of a mid game mod and once you get access to allthemodium ore you will basically switch over to use an allthemodium pickaxe and forget about silent gear

Look for Silent Plates, they're the ATM materials for Silent Gear. With alloying, grading and starcharging you can for example make a sword with 130+ dmg, way better than the ATM paxel. :D
