Loving the series, Little tip for Ben; The machines you've set up are designed to be fed from left to right, this would remove the need for you to manually chance the input/output on every machine as the default is Left - Input, Right - output, there's nothing wrong with how you've done it, its just worth knowing as saves a bit of faf when setting up and most other machines (especially Mekanism) have the same setup

It's still weird tripling ores is this compact line of machines. I often like putting logistical transporters to see stuff whizzing around.

@@SushiElemental true, and it also helps if not all machines process the same speed, so you can double up on some where theres a bottleneck, which will happen, the more you get out of your ore the more smelting per ore you have to do etc. so having the pipes to split the loads helps, but its still easier to build left to right so the pipes are connecting correctly without having to change inputs on top of configuring pipes

There are muffler upgrades for mekanism mashines, just so you don't stop yourself from hearing everything else with a regular muffler

And (maybe a bit too late) shift right-clicking a hopper on the controller to put lots of ores in. The lava tank can also be piped into. Get a drum full of lava and be done with that for a couple sessions :)

Making the smeltery a 4x4 inside with tables and basins around would make pouring stuff out a lot faster. They had a tinker tank in the previous All The Mods, I believe Sjin put it down. I think they just don't have time to bother with it yet. Maybe in the new smeltery building?

If the Mekanism mod is still the same, BEN, you can upgrade the machines ways. One, there should be a slot for Speed and Energy Capacity upgrades. Two, those should be factory machines, able to process 1, 3, 5, or 7 separate items at a time. If your SMELTER were to be upgrades fully to 7 SLOTS, then you could be cooking iron and copper and gold dust all separately, preventing any future backups your ORE TRIPLING or 50 episodes later, ORE QUINTUPLING ( 5 times production ) may have. DUNCAN, the EXTRACTORS can be placed on all COMPASS sides of those logs. 4 Extractors per tree would increase your production. You don't even need trees for this process, only logs. Use a Block Placer from one of the mods to place a new log when you need it, dump off a few stacks of wood and forget you have it for the next 50 episodes when you wonder where a pipe is coming from.

They need better power before speeding up mechanism machines, though. But energy upgrades are very good, the machine just uses less rF.

question: can you using the liquid transfer pipes on the smelter? if so, can you put a filter in it, and place a bucket of the liquid metal you want that pipe to pipe out in that filter? or would that not work?

I don't think the smeltery is a good solution for making parts. I'd recommend a compactor for plates and gears (with gearworking augment) and a crafting table for rods

Immersive Engineering metal press is the best and coolest solution where available. You can even have one for each thing.
