@warzone822 The old Lucy voice was a better fit because of the "fake upper class smile" as it fit her character and background. In the Plaza next to the metro, you can occasionally find her talking to an npc, where it is said she is a daughter of an upper-class family whose whole life was dictated by her strict father. She later would cut him out of her life presumably when she broke out of her gilded cage to live her own life and eventually join the "Sons of Calydon." I may need to switch spoken language since her and Piper are part of my go-to team. I'm still trying for Soldier to complete the team, though..... After looking at how long this reply is, I'm just now realizing how into character background and stories I get.

Yeah, the cancel chain button feels far better than the manual chain attack. Cuz the manual mode feels like it forces you to hold down the button when you're doing combos. While the cancel button, you can just one tap and continue your combos

Like, I get not wanting to be replaced by AI or whatever , but every time I hear about unions in the news, it's always just a bunch of people ending up only hurting the consumer. So like, whether this was because of the strike or not is up in the air, but if it is, it only hurts us cause we like the OG voice. Companies will replace the VA's with AI anyway. Now they'll just do it sooner. And Hazbin Hotel had to recast their whole damn cast because the company only worked with union voice actors. The more I hear about unions the less I like them & they only seem like a virtue signalling method. If I were a company I would want to distance myself from them and the people in them, potentially like people like Lucy's VA.

ONE MAJOR THING YOU MISSED WAS SOME ENEMIES HAVE NEW MOVESETS!!! For example, the Butchers Second phase has a new unswitchable chain attack, the Farbauti after using its old chain attack has a chance to pounce at the end, etc. I noticed this when I started fighting them in the new update. Don’t know if there are more but those are two I that did notice. 100% sure those didn’t exist before!

It's because her faction as a whole hasn't been introduced yet. You can only raise trust with characters and factions after they are officially introduced in the main story and you complete their chapter. Same reason you can't do Lucy, Piper, or Soukaku.

So far Patch 1 seems to be giving an introduction to all the factions within New Eridu with every chapter either normal or special. We started off in Chapter 1 with the Cunning Hares, Chapter 2 was an introduction to Belobog Industries, in Chapter 3 following up on the events of Chapter 2 we met Victoria Housekeeping. The introduction of Hollow Zero gave us a preview of Sector 6 and we have Soukaku to start off with and in the recent special Chapter we got a closer look at Pubsec. With 1.2 we are getting more on the Sons of Calydon and I can only imagine 1.3 we'll be getting a deeper look at Soldier 11 and Obol Squad. Patch 2.0 my guess will be continuing the investigation into the Hollow Demon called Sacrifice.

There was something about the old voice for Lucy I liked a lot. Probably because it reminds me of a certain small and dressed in blue archon. I’ll probably get used to the new one soon but it just kinda feels a little disorienting that she sounds different. I'm a noob, so I want to ask.. Does the manual mode have any advantage over the regular ones? I mean, I don't see any bad at triggering the chain attack.. Especially if you use some agents (e.g Koleda) with a passive that boost the party chain attack damage?..

@@farhanfarr8368 Manual mode is mostly for minmaxers. If you only promote and improve you DPS, while other characters are minimally invested, then you would like to skip chain attack entirely. As someone, who goes against the flow, and train all of the characters equally, I will never touch this toggle.

Sometimes when you're in a big combo such as Ellen ex special to normal attack you don't want to interrupt that dps for the resources you use and if you stun during that it can suck. Do whatever feels best to use try out both because triggering it manually can feel a hair clunky at times.

@@julianhj2 ahh.. I see. But I believe the slow motion part during Chain attack won't count in the timer right? The one reason I think people don't want to chain attack is because they don't want to reset the anomaly bar. I experienced it a lot while using Zhu+Nicole team, and Abby's chain attacks reset the ether build up and change it into electric ones..

I really like that for the new shiyu defense we don't have a time restrictions, it fell really more challenging bc enemy is stronger so it "force" to use more dodge and counter so it encourages you to be more careful.the rating is more based on your skill than your character and your build

The audio mix is also pretty badly off. You can’t even hear Lucy in combat without headphones. Not like you’re missing much since they butchered her so badly now

The Soukaku and Lucy EN voice actor change, and by extension, voice line change was caused from the old EN voice actors joining a boycott against the company about some controversy towards one of Genshin Impact's regions, I don't play the game so I don't exactly know which one. Anyways, they essentially bit the hand that fed them and it was totally deserved, you can't just go against the company you work for and get away scot-free, but because of this they had to get replacement voice actors. It wouldn't surprise me if they redo the voice lines again in the next update because this seems to be a rushed change so they could quickly replace the old voice actors.
