Fables' strength comes from who believes in them. Since Bigby and Bloody Mary are so feared and their stories are some of the most popular, they are way stronger than most fables. Plus, Bigby's father is a God, making him a Demi God. Bigby IS a tank, he just doesn't use his full power.

In case you were confused, Bluebeard is one of the few Fables who escaped their world into ours with his wealth still intact. He single-handedly funds the entirety of the Fabletown government in order to give himself leverage and power. He's not a government official, but his money gives him a lot of sway within Fabletown.

Phi & Sigma I'm actually one of these people who don't find "Fables" to be that phenomenal. I don't hate the series but it wasn't enough to keep me interested. It was what kept me from playing the game for so long and I can't express how glad I was to be surprised that Telltale has managed to fix issues that were bothering me with the comic. It's not spread out among multitude of shallow characters and arcs so absurd I couldn't get fully into it, and I don't hate the main characters. Quite the opposite, I care about the most of them. I don't know if it's a fault of the medium (I have the same problems with most comic) but stories and characters in the comic were a little too cliche and predictable. It also brushes off some issues in a way that makes me feel that despite the premise of 'what would certain fantastic characters do if they were transported to our world' the most of them still live in a fantasyland. No hate towards different opinions. I just like my stories more grounded. And to everyone who likes characters as they are in the game, they are a lot different in the comic.

My theory that I've always had is Narissa is actually Faith glamoured. Firstly Faith's fairytale how she survived was using that Donkey Cloak to change her appearance, so she has experience in surviving that way. But this mainly comes down to the fact that even after her Ribbon was supposedly pulled the Mirror still couldn't see her body. It said "These lips are sealed" line. Meaning it is that spell blocking the Mirror from seeing her. And Narissa said the only way to break the spell is to pull the ribbon, so if Faith's was pulled? Then why would it keep working on her body? The reason why? Is simple. Faith is still alive. She still has her ribbon on so the spell is still in effect. And we know the Mirror can see corpses because we saw what was left of Faith's father. So it isn't that either. I really hope there's an answer to this in the new season, one way or the other?

I guess Faith changed her appearance with the cloak in order to lead Bigby on the right path, left the cloak somewhere around there, since Toad found it, and then she just walked around looking like she normally does. My only problem is that certain people (Georgie, Vivien) know that Faith died, yet they also know that Faith is standing right there, since they know what she looks like. They even call her by her name... But I guess "it's magic" explains all. Or... Little Mermaid used Faith's cloak to look like her and then disappear. Faith was already dead and she knew it. That actually explains people calling her Nerrisa.

This is part two of my hopefully comprehensive list of the game's characters in relation to the stories they are based on as I did in the last video. Also, I've decided to write this out on a doc then copy-paste, it's still pretty informal, but this way I can hopefully avoid some of the more egregious spelling and grammatical errors I made, and plus I've been having some trouble with my mobile's speech-to-text lately so yeah here we go: Let me start with clarifying something about the game for those that are unaware, The Wolf Among Us is a prequel to Fables, an Eisner and Hugo Award-winning series by Bill Willingham from Vertigo Comics, a recently closed down imprint of DC Comics famous for their artsy, satirical and often darker and experimental series. This is where Constantine and Neil Gaiman's Sandman came from before being integrated into the DC canon proper. I read the first volume when this game was initially made to prepare and I recommend it, it's pretty good. Anyway, I'll start with one I missed last time, Jack Horner. In Fables, Jack is a composite character of basically a whole load of characters named Jack including the numerous nursery rhymes, "Little Jack Horner", "Jack and Jill", "Jack be Nimble", etc. But his most famous character is of course "Jack and the Beanstalk" by Joseph Jacobs or Benjamin Tabart (this one's history is deceptively confusing there's a lot of variations of the tale with or without a beanstalk or even a character named Jack) Jack. Jack. Lots of Jack's. jackjackjackjackjackjackjackjackjackBANG Sorry that wasn't funny Dr. Swineheart is one of the title characters of Brothers Grimm's "The Three Army Surgeons", a story about three military doctors spending the night at an inn and trying to impress the innkeeper by performing self surgeries and then putting themselves back together. One removed his eyes, one his heart, and the other his hands but then things started going wrong, preventing them from completing the procedures; without retelling the whole story, it's basically a macabre comedy of errors. Bloody Mary is a variation of the boogeyman, is said to be a murderous ghost that haunts the mirrors, and if you stand in front of one and say her name three times, she will come for you. Some say she's benign or at the very least neutral but others think she's not. Rachel is the titular character from "Aunty Greenleaf and the White Deer".... and that's sadly all I got for you on that. This story doesn't have a Wikipedia article and I am struggling to find the story in a trustworthy place so maybe someone more well-read than I shall fill us all in on that title but until then let's move on. The Jersey Devil, everyone should know this one, is a cryptid of American folklore throughout the forests and rural communities of the United States northeast, but most alleged sightings are around Philadelphia and (hence the name) South New Jersey, believed to be native to Pine Barrens. It’s described as a kangaroo-like dragon with horns, large leather wings, and a head resembling that of a horse or goat. Tiny Tim is the youngest son of Bob Cratchett from Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”; the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge was paying his one, and seemingly only, employee the lowest wage he could legally get away with, the Cratchetts were always just at the threshold of poverty, and Tim was ill with an unexplained sickness that could easily be cured if only they could afford it. Tim’s endless optimism is infectious even getting through to old Scrooge and he is, of course, the one who spoke the book’s most famous line, “God bless us, everyone.” Flycatcher is the Frog Prince. In the comics, he has a crush on Briar Rose, a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty. It is cute. The Crooked Man is the character from the nursery rhyme “There Was a Crooked Man”, first published in 1842 by James Halliwell-Phillipps, the episode title is even a line from the poem, “... Who walked a crooked mile”. While the character doesn’t explicitly do anything wrong in the poem, he is described as a reclusive miser, and so the rhyme is usually recited in a sinister tone and illustrations are often slightly gothic in design. I have read that there are some lost versions of the song that refers to a wife and family he murdered but I cannot substantiate that so take it with a grain of salt. Johann is also a nursery rhyme figure though unnamed in the source “Rub-a-dub-dub”; a silly little song about three men - the butcher (that’s him), the baker, and the candlestick maker - who go out to sea in a bathtub. It would make sense that "Faith" in the beginning of the game is Nerissa glamoured. The alternative is if Faith was really cunning the whole time, and got Nerissa to body swapped with her and resulted in her getting killed while being glamoured as Faith, though it is valid option given Donkeyskin's history and the fact that she lied during the trial. Either way, this game really captures the theme of how unreliable people's testimonies and your perceptions can be, yet you still have to make decisions anyway, and live with the consequences. In the end, I think things seemed to have turned out too nicely for everyone, and as players we're too tired to want to probe more into it.

while we don't have canonical version of Faith's side yet personally I don't think it was any kind of cunning plan. the girls swapped jobs with each other, Faith had a job after Woodsman (she says it's start of a long night), I'd say she just didn't want to do it after going back empty handed and busted up face, so Nerissa covered her and Georgie just happened to pick that night to kill Lily and who he thought was Faith. then Faith wasn't left with much option but to pretend to be Nerissa and try working around the ribbon spell to give hints to Bigby.

Not that the Crooked man didn't do anything, but its actually super likely that Georgie was scared of him so he overreacted and made the call to kill them on his own. Again he did do a lot wrong, but he probably didn't order the killings. And toad wasn't lying, Snow is a big stickler for the rules and any fables that don't have a human form have to go to the farm. Same with Bluebeard, Snow hates him but he does provide most of the money that keeps things running so she has to give him special privileges.

You haven't really been taking collins side. Remember bigby screwed him and his brother in the past. He's showing a little loyalty it's a shame you are not doing the same for him. The argument with her shows she is being very unreasonable. I know you ship them and it's your playthrough. But collin was throwing some good points. Plus the way I see it keeping him in the apt isn't putting them in danger. And as I said bigby does owe him and sending him back to the farm sounds horrible.

I think snow still sent toad at the farm because he always says he will get a glamour maybe she didn't believe him because he didn't show up with a human apparence , that and the fact that in the comic toad lives in the farm. Also about blue beard going into her office, I think it's all about his money because it's difficult to finance stuff to help the fables without any money. Loved this video !

You never actually meet the real Faith, she is dead before it all started. The Faith you meet at the start was Nerissa, its why they say the same lines etc.

I heard they wanted to make a show of this on ABC. But instead ABC went for once upon a time because it was more family friendly. And they went to NBC but they were already doing Grimm so they didn't want to have to shows that were too similar. But now that those shows are done this show given how dark it can be. It can really thrive in a channel like HBO.

Lmao it's so funny because when I play a TellTale game or really any story game like this I always go for a genuine nice route because I just hate being mean but I didn't care I just straight up killed Dum lmao. It doesn't affect anything story related later and it was just so satisfying to just completely decimate those two brothers. Also having read the Fable comics the next thing besides death for a Fable criminal is the Witching Well and that shit SUCKS. So I like to think I was doing him a favor lol and I also ripped the Crooked Man's head off. He was waaayyyy too dangerous to be left alive. So count me late but really enjoying your playthroughs!

snow follows the law, which is what every people should do btw. just look at toad and the pig, she wants them to be sent to the farm because that's the law. and wait you hated snow the most? more than beauty and beast? jesus they're selfish asf XD i get that a few people doesn't really like snow cause she comes out as a controlling woman but she hasn't done anything out of the ordinary, she's the boss of bigby and everything she did was according to law.
